Minamidaitojima turned out to be a very difficult destination when it comes to booking accommodation and, moreover, very expensive. Through a major tour operator in Japan it was eventually possible to reserve a relatively cheap room at Getto Moon Peach. In better times the accommodation probably consisted of eight minimally furnished small rooms, but at the time of stay there were only 3 rooms with a high double air bed, a small table and a flat screen and air conditioning available. Toilets, showers and washbasins are located at 20-30 meters and are just like the rooms covered in a large shed. There is a good hot water supply and free wifi. Airport pick up / drop off is also free, as is a half-day island tour and free transport to / from the supermarket located 7 km away. Bicycles are available and scooters / cars can be rented. Driving and arranging female staff member * Isuzu * speaks English and is active.
