Mohe Hour Light Family Hotel

A very warm and cozy family-run guesthouse, I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location is excellent; the backyard opens directly onto the Heilongjiang River, and you can see Russia across the river. Even the river-view room I booked offered views of the mountains across the river through the window. 🏠 The house belongs to the owner's family and was very clean and tidy, with underfloor heating throughout. The kang (heated brick bed) was very warm; as a southerner, I wasn't used to it—it was too warm, haha. The owner's mother cooks just like at home, freshly made, and the food is exceptionally delicious! You must try the river fish 🐟—it's incredibly fresh! I must mention that the owner helped me find a driver, Xiao Cong. He's handsome, honest, and doesn't talk much, but he's very helpful. All the recommended attractions were worthwhile. I would definitely use him again if I came back.

The auntie was so welcoming; she brewed some herbal tea and even brought out some homemade sunflower seeds. Chatting with her was a wonderful experience. Experiencing the traditional Northeastern kang (heated brick bed), the rustic village atmosphere, and the leisurely pace of life...

Environment: Before arriving, we were only looking forward to the snowy scenery of Mohe. As for accommodation, we just wanted something decent to stay in, but the room at Xiaoshiguang far exceeded our expectations! The room was very clean and tidy, and the kang (heated brick bed) had a very authentic Northeastern feel! It was very welcoming and had a homey atmosphere. Facilities: The landlady's place is a courier station, making it very convenient to pick up and drop off packages. Before arriving, we asked the landlady for her address and sent her some warm clothes. Hot water and food were plentiful, and there was heating, so we didn't have to worry about being cold. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy. Service: I must praise the landlady! Since we came from Guangdong, we only realized after arriving that the attractions were quite far apart, and there was only one shuttle bus. However, the landlady was very helpful, designing a travel plan for us and even helping us find transportation. Staying here in Beihong Village is definitely the right choice!

I highly recommend this place. I was worried about having a bad experience, but it was surprisingly good. It was my first time experiencing a traditional heated kang bed. The place was very clean, and even the blankets smelled nice after being washed. The staff were very welcoming and even told me which direction I could see the aurora. It's definitely worth a visit! Also, the snow scenery in the morning was absolutely gorgeous!

The owner was very kind, and the courtyard and rooms were kept very clean and tidy. The underfloor heating was just right, there was a separate water heater, and the breakfast was delicious. The common areas had various flowers and plants; it was a very tasteful family-run guesthouse…

It's a very quiet little village. The guesthouse owner, ee, is really great and very welcoming. The porridge for breakfast was so delicious, I had three bowls! Their little dog, Da Xiu, is also super well-behaved and very clean. I hope to see Bei Hong Village again someday!
