"I stayed here at the beginning of my 20 day self-driving road trip around Heilongjian and Inner Mongolia. This stay was a perfect way to start my trip. The welcome and hospitality from the stay was very much appreciated. The room was comfortable and warm, with everything I needed. Breakfast was very tasty. The accomodation has coffee at reception if you drink it, but it is an extra cost. I rented a Tank 300 for my trip and was uncertain how it would perform in the low temperatures. So, I messaged the boss if I could use his garage. When I arrived, it was waiting for me for 50 RMB a night. I parked up and had my own garage for 2 nights. The location is the other side of the river from the town centre. The walk is peaceful, the river in its frozen form is very nice and can be walked on or along. There are plenty of restaurants next to the hotel too, and the boss recommended some to me when I arrived. One improvement would be to tidy up after the dogs/cats outside. It can be seen and smelt and would be better if it was cleaned up. I am now nearing the end of my trip. I have driven thousands of kilometres, visited many towns and villages and met many guesthouse, hotel and hostel owners. Yet I will always remember the start of my journey at this guesthouse fondly. "The owner was very welcoming; she helped me force open the door, contacted the parking garage, and even poured water into the kettle to make ice! The cats and dogs in the shop were also adorable. The breakfast was delicious!! We left early, and she even prepared egg noodles in advance, which was superb."

"Let me share my story: I was a bit worried because some online reviews of hotels in Beijicun (Arctic Village) weren't great. I kept searching and found this inn. Initially, there were no king rooms, but I patiently waited a day, and suddenly one became available, so I booked for two nights. I don't like bothering people, so from Mohe Station, I took a taxi directly to the front of the 'Northernmost Post Office' and walked the rest of the way! I met the owner, who was very enthusiastic and took me to rent a car (I'm a travel photographer: Jie Meng 3633). The car rental place quoted 400 yuan. The owner told me it was a bit expensive and advised me to go back to Mohe to rent, but I decided against it, not wanting to disrupt my shooting schedule, so I rented it. Later, I got stuck in the snow while driving. The owner drove out with a shovel and helped me rescue the car after a great deal of effort. Everything turned out fine. I'm especially grateful for his help in resolving the unexpected situation in -35 degree weather! The room was very clean, and the proprietress kept it very tidy. I travel with some equipment, and since the police station is right across the street, I often didn't even bother closing my door – I felt completely at ease. For friends who are into travel photography or have many safety concerns, you won't go wrong choosing this place!"

The details and service of this house were really not disappointing. The housekeeper took me and the children to the forest to pick hand-made straw sticks and feed the deer. Let the children get close to nature and have a good time. Highly recommended."

"Let me start by saying that the overall management and service in Beijicun were utterly appalling. Hotel service? Forget about it. The cleanliness was shocking. The TV was broken, the toilet seat was damaged, and the shower head was faulty. The staff's response was that they couldn't do anything about it because 'it's always been broken'... The towels were so stained you couldn't tell their original color, and to make matters worse, the sheets and duvet covers were also a dingy yellow. After traveling through the three northeastern provinces and then Inner Mongolia, Beijicun was by far the worst place I encountered."
