We have been coming to Hotel Am Wald for the past few years as a family to visit relatives in Monheim. Sadly, as they have now passed away we won’t have much reason to visit this lovely hotel anymore. Thank you so much to all the staff, in particular Hamza who looked after us so well: the children adore him. The rooms in the hotel are quite basic but very clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant is top quality and consistently good. The goose went down very well this time with our group. We celebrated at 70th birthday on Saturday night and it was very special. Thanks to all the staff. Lots of great memories made over the years ♥️ The Kyck family

Hotellet ligger i et industrikvarter væk fra ALT, og bortset fra hotellet er der lukket og slukket om aftenen. Værelset lugtede forfærdeligt af fugt, en ubehagelig oplevelse. Prisen er rimelig, og parkering er gratis, men vælg et andet hotel, der er massevis af lignende hoteller i samme prisklasse i omegnen, som jeg ærgrer mig voldsomt over ikke at have valgt.

Eenvoudige kamers, maar met keurige kraakheldere badkamer en prima bedden. Weinig opbergruimte voor jassen, koffers e.d. Het restaurant is heel erg goed, flinke porties voor een redelijke prijs. Ontbijt tamelijk eenvoudig. Er is voldoende ruimte om te parkeren.

Das Hotel liegt im Industriegebiet. Trotz der Nähe zur Hauptstraße ist es Nachts ruhig. Die Zimmer sind sauber. Optisch nichts besonderes aber für eine Übernachtung passt es. Leider gibt es keine Klimaanlage. Bei den aktuellen Temperaturen nicht so angenehm. Der Fernseher ging in der Nacht selbstständig an. Ohne ziehen des Steckers konnte der Fehler nicht behoben werden. Fernsehprogramme sind sehr überschaubar. WLAN gibt es zwar aber der Empfang war sehr dürftig. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Die Auswahl war gut und die Qualität auch. Preis Leistung war in Ordnung.

Sehr sauber, sehr schönes Restaurant mit gutem Essen, und Frühstücksbuffet, nette Mitarbeitende. Leider war der Mitarbeiter, der u.a. für das Buffet zuständig war, stark erkältet und trug seine Maske meist nicht. Gerade in Zeiten von Corona hatte die Bedingung somit einen negativen Beigeschmack. Nun haben mein Freund und ich eine Mandelentzündung. Der Zusammenhang ist natürlich nicht nachweisbar. Bitte kranke Mitarbeitende nach Hause schicken.

Ich hatte dieses Hotel aufgrund eines Außen Termines gebucht. Gleich beim betreten des Zimmers war klar: Alles richtig gemacht! Im großzügigen Einzelzimmer war alles vorhanden was zum Wohlfühlen gehört. Das Abendessen habe ich in freundlicher A**osphäre eingenommenen und war von der Karte wirklich angenehm überrascht. Mutig hab ich eine Fischplatte bestellt, und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Die Karte bietet alles und für jeden Geschmack etwas. Komme sicherlich wieder. Klaus-Peter Heid
