Hotel New Tanda

The building seemed to be a few years old, but it had enough amenities and was not inconvenient. It was convenient and within walking distance to the center of Chinatown. The breakfast had more items than I expected and was very satisfying.

Hotel New Tanda is a four-star hotel located in the heart of Nagasaki, Japan. Just a 10-minute walk from Nagasaki Station, the hotel is conveniently located and ideal for visiting Nagasaki's major attractions. The hotel rooms are spacious and comfortable with all amenities including air conditioning, LCD TV, free WiFi and bathroom.

At first glance, it looks like a Showa-style hotel, with analog room keys and light switches and outlets that remind me of my parents' house, but the amenities are sufficient. Even though the room is a single, the floor is very spacious, and the dark brown tone of the window frames and furniture and the white walls are elegant. You can see the port, church, and mountains from the window, and the occasional foghorn can be heard, stirring up the feeling of traveling. The staff members are easy to talk to, which is a recommended point. (At other inns, there are staff members who look like they are busy). Since I only stayed for one night in the evening, I did not use the hotel's meals or other services, but they kept my luggage for a long time after I checked out, which was very helpful.

Close to the bus terminal, close to Chinatown, Glover House, Confucius Temple, and other tourist attractions. The facilities are a normal business hotel, so I have no complaints.

It seems that it has been renovated, but the lighting and interior colors were dark and I felt a bit depressed.I decided to use it because it was a convenient location near tourist attractions, but it was a shame.

It's located right next to the Medical Center bus stop. I don't think you can get lost. Holland Hill and Chinatown are also nearby. Free parking is available in the underground parking lot on a first-come, first-served basis. Wifi is free. There was no password required.The downside is that there is no convenience store. There is a vending machine in the 6th session, so you can get beer and tea, but if you need anything else, you will need to buy it in advance. Due to the coronavirus, the restaurant on the first floor was closed except for breakfast (1,300 yen for guests only). I think it is recommended if you want to see the famous places in Nagasaki.
