The room is clean and tidy, and the service staff are friendly. When I checked in, I gave a room that hadn't been cleaned by mistake, but immediately adjusted and apologized after communication. Meals are not very convenient, except that breakfast is served, others have to rely on takeaway.

The management and staff (Archie, mellisa, And shawna) were all very sweet and accommodating. I asked for a room close to an exit and they made it possible. The beds are extremely soft and comfortable and the rooms are clean and tidy. The housekeeping also did a wonderful job at cleaning the room and making sure I had soap and clean towels. 5 stars!

Avoid at all cost. First the front desk woman was rude. Just handed us the card and told us what floor we were on. Didn’t mention the complimentary breakfast or anything. From looking at the lobby, the hotel looks up to date and pretty decent , the room? A different Story. There is a hole on the wall behind the sofa bed, there is a hole with a door under the out dated thermostat & the door doesn’t shut , the paint is peeling , there is a cup on the sprinkler in the bathroom , the bed is as hard as a rock and the mattress has a remote on the bed to control the softness , the remote doesn’t work. But whatever , we try to make the best of this situation , so I went to put the TV on for our son to watch , Tv didn’t work, I called down at the front desk to see that my phone in the room wasn’t working. I went to get in the elevator to go speak to the front desk , and the elevator wasn’t work and the other one was out of service. After climbing down 6 flights of stairs, I got to the front desk. Told the lady about the tv not working , she sends someone up to check it out , the man plays with the remote and setting for about 15-30 mins finally gets it and pretty much blames us for the tv not working at first. Now it’s dinner time, we call down at the restaurant located in the lobby and no one answers even tho the hours say they are open, we leave to go to a restaurant in the neighborhood and see that the restaurant is closed , no signs or anything stating it’s closed. We come back to go take showers and see the towels have yellow stains and long black hair on it. So we went out and bought our own towels. Now it’s like 9:00-9:30 and I go to plug in my phone charger next to the bed , I pull the dresser stand out and see a tiny baggie behind the dresser. Fast forward till 12:00-12:30 AM, we are woken to the fire alarm going off all over the hotel , so we go sit in the car , after seeing people start to walk back into the hotel we follow assuming the fire alarm is over , it’s not . At this point everyone is in the lobby , my 5 year old is shivering from being outside and in the cold car so we decided to stay in the lobby with all the other families , about 30 mins later the fire department was able to shut the alarm off and we were able to come back into the room. From over hearing the fire department they had the same issues with the same floor in this hotel for months now , and the problem isn’t being taken care of. This hotel gives me serious hotel Cecil vibes!! If you’re going away for whatever the reason get a hotel in a different town and just do the commute. It’s not worth the money, or the stress it causes.

Multiple issues with our stay. 1-SAFETY: I don't understand how the property obtained a certificate of occupancy. (A) Room doors stick such that one needs to use two hands to yank on the door to open it. This presents a very obvious fire safety issue as it makes egress difficult in case of emergency. When entering the room, I risked injury to my shoulder trying to open the door. [This also presents a security issue, requiring guests to yank hard on the door to ensure that it has closed fully and locked.] (B) Elevators repeatedly stuck, requiring opening of the doors to resume operation. When operation resumed, elevator made abrupt movement which was disconcerting, not only to me, but to other guests. 2-Staff member who checked us in was rude; didn't tell us details about the breakfast, didn't explain the $35/night security deposit, just overall surly and very atypical of a Hilton property experience. 3-Price: I was under the impression that Hilton Honors members booking direct on your website/through app had the best pricing. If so, why did my sister-in-law who booked through a 3rd-party site not only pay less than we did, they were eligible for cancellation at that rate (which we would have had to pay even more). The property is dangerous, and not what I expect as an Honors member for many years. They need to do better.

Very welcoming great place to stay. There is a free dedicated shuttle at P4 Newark so do take it and not waste usd22 on an Uber. Next to it is a 200 store factory outlet which you can walk. The bus 115 goes to Manhattan MPA for usd7. Breakfast is good. But no eggs and bacon but IHOP is next door. Just ensure you have all your medicines and toiletries. There is no pharmacy or convenience store in the mall or hotel. There is also no food available at night so ensure you have bought snacks at night. There is a microwave. Service staff is sometimes friendly and sometimes not Just be patient.

The facilities were really nice. The staff are also very friendly, I was really impressed by the free breakfast and fitness center. Next time I come to New York, I want to come again.

There is a lot of free parking and parking is very convenient. The hotel is closer to Newark Airport and UBER is about 60 knives. Breakfast is buffet, 16 knives per person.

We typically choose Hampton Inn when traveling - bottom line: This Hampton is way below the standard. DETAIL: The STAFF was excellent. The first room had a broken door lock. It would not lock. You could open it without a key. (Room 433) The friendly staff immediately switched us to room 443. This ROOM was clean, but just run down. The general vibe was “this room is old”. Old or broken fixtures…bathroom light bracket broken, bathroom mortar joints cracking, power outlet on desk in room rusted, and the room smelled odd. HOT WATER: During our two night stay, the shower water the first morning was just warm enough to keep the chill away. Would not get hot. On the second morning there was NO hot water, and we had to check out without showering. We asked a couple in the elevator and they had the same problem and had reported it to the front desk. I recommend passing on this Hampton until a remodel.

We chose this hotel based on being an IHG and close to the Newark Airport. We tripped in to New York City daily and learned to use the hotel shuttle bus, a couple of trains, the subway as well as Uber and Lift. The staff at the airport were very friendly and helpful.
