Herald Square Hotel

Great location! Close to the Empire State Building. Walking distance to Times Square, Central Park and other great places, but also easy access to very nice neighborhoods like Chelsea, Greenwich Village and more... Herald Square across the street from the hotel, which gives you access to many subway lines. The hotel gives you access to a nice little terrace a couple stories up, but there is also a nice rooftop bar in the same building, with a great view of the ESB. Staff was nice and helpful. Room was clean and convenient. Very good hotel, in the heart of the city at a great price! Would definitely book again!

Stayed here for 7 nights. Location was great, right next to Herald Square and subway station 10 yards from hotel entrance. Check in was nice and easy and the staff friendly. Room was an adequate size but maybe a little dated. Bed was comfortable, shower was good and all room amenities worked fine. No issues with cleanliness either. We was on the 4th floor so we did get a lot of street noise but thankfully we were so tired most nights it didn't affect us, ear plugs may have also helped. The corridors in the hotel need a big refurb as they look horrific and first impressions were bad on that front. Check out was easy, managed to leave luggage at $2 a bag until we needed to collect. Room deposit of $150 came off the credit card straight away as well. All in all a decent stay that served our needs, would stay again.

Do not book! They do not refund your money. I am waiting for over a month, the refund e mail is not replying and a manager says that you should contact the refund depar**ent and they will reply. Horrible experience! Do not book, no one is helping to get you your money back- stay away from this “hotel”

They cancelled our reservation without explanation. And you can't contact them through the platform we used to make the reservation (Booking). Update. After some time out of Booking, this hotel is available again. During this time we have tried to manage both with Booking and with the hotel the refund and they deceive us and try to wriggle out of the problem. If you have made this reservation with Booking, I recommend not only complaining to Booking but also to the competent authority. In the EU, the European Consumer Centres Network.

I had a reservation by booking, but i had to cancel to change the travel dates. It was a free canceling reservation, but the full payment has been processed and the cancellation policy says 30 days to get refund. it Was the 31st of january 2024. The refund email says they have problems, but, its the same message everybody gets since January 2023.. It's the 6th May, and i still not have my refund, no reply from this hotels, or manager or somebody else. Booking seems to be having trouble to help their customers.. SO, DO NO BOOK OVER THERE THEY WILL STILL YOU MONEY IF YOU CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION. To the hotel management, I STILL WAIT FOR AN ANSWER

Absolutely awful. Booked and had to cancel (broke my leg) and have not received my deposit back after 50 days since cancelling. I have had absolutely no response from the hotel at all. They do not pick up their phones, and have gone through central reservations to be hung up on, and told I had to call the hotel... 'maybe I should try at a different time?". Many reviews have said the same. Edit to say I spoke to someone at Wyndham, and this hotel is no longer owned by them.

I made a reservation with free cancellation. It's been over a month and I haven't received my money. This is a very high amount of money. I do not recommend this hotel at all. They are scammers. I have tried to contact them but they do not respond, except once they told me they had administrative problems. They are liars.

Perfect location. Right opposite Macy’s and lovely Herald Square. Subway station right outside. 1 block away from Empire State Building. Short walk away from beautiful Bryant Park. Close to food places and shops. Close to other places such as Times Square, masdison square gardens, New York public library and grand central. Although this hotel is very central, there was NO NOISE at night! Which we were surprised by. Lovely room with well sized bed, TV, wardrobe and shower. It was the perfect room with a view of herald square and ESB. The staff were very friendly. Always saying good morning and wishing us a nice day. We left our cases at the hotel storage and also booked our taxi to the airport through our hotel as they have a fixed rate system. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

WATCH OUT FOR YOUR REFUND! Just booked this Hotel, The Herald by LuxUrban, then I canceled and booked this one from same "LuxUrban" brand. First cancelation was never refunded until april, just after contact the card operator we had the reinburse done. Right after this (just one day), LuxUrban has cancelled our reservation in their other Hotel (The Bogart by LuxUrban). Now I have to wait again for refund! Not to mention we paid a federal tax in Brazil (IOF) for international payments and lost 5% twice! This company behavior is abusive and unacceptable. Shame!
