The hotel is right next to New York University, which is convenient for visiting friends there, but the hotel room is not big and the bed is not big.

The location of the hotel is close to New York University. I wanted to experience a hotel with history, but the experience is very bad. The whole hotel is like a guest house with poor sound insulation and small rooms. In a word, it is old and small.

Small hotel in Greenwich Village. Rooms are tiny, but well appointed - super cute decor. Beds are very comfortable. The location is great, with lots to walk to and awesome restaurants on the same street. The complimentary breakfast is much more substantial than most and the restaurant/ bar downstairs has a lively crowd, until 11p, when they clear it out.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The staff in the restaurant was extremely welcoming and friendly. Love the continental breakfast which is included with the room. Great choices in the room snacks tray and mini bar. I was very impressed with one particular staff member who helped me with my luggage and arranged a car for me to the airport.

I was in town for a conference at NYU. Everything went smoothly and I loved my short walk through the park each morning. I will definitely stay here next time I am in the city.

Lovely boutique hotel with incredible ambiance. Cozy lobby with several intimate seating choices for drinks, snacks conversation. Like old New York in a bubble. Staff is great. So accommodating and respectful. The neighborhood is our favorite in the city. Walkable with infinite dining choices. Complimentary breakfast is imaginative and fresh. Guest rooms are tiny but comfy and beautiful. It’s a perfect weekend stay. Very little storage for the week we were there. Small closet and no place to put clothes outside a suitcase. We were there for a wedding so had to bring a lot of ‘event’ clothes. I do highly recommend this hotel and we will come back and pack light!

Beautifully appointed -feels like you could be in Europe especially in the lobby and dining area. Keep in mind the rooms are a bit small and the whole hotel is like a tight ship. Staff is so professional and kind-must be coming from the top:)

PERFECT! This hotel is so quintessential downtown New York, with a ton of class and character. Let’s you feel like a New Yorker living in a walk-up apartment, even tho they have elevators. Small rooms of course, which only adds to the “I’m living in NYC l!” Vibe. Great bar and restaurant and lobby, incredible breakfast INCLUDED (awesome frittata!). Best part: complimentary NY Times laid out to take in the morning. Now that’s class.

The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location in Greenwich Village, close to Washington Square Park, many restaurants, and transit. The building has a cozy lobby area with fireplace and lots of seating. While the rooms are very small, the building has lots of character. We really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast- with includes a choice from hot items (oatmeal or frittata) or yogurt & granola & fresh fruit or pastries plus cofffee/ tea/ juice. All served in the restaurant. Would stay here again and highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel. Lovely and responsive staff. The lobby and cafe were favorites and the breakfast is a great way to start the day. Only drawback is that the beds are really firm and, for me, not that comfortable.

My favorite hotel in New York! Though the rooms are petite for sure, every detail is beautiful, and the comfort and coolness of the lobby more than makes up for it.

I LOVED my stay at the Marlton. I traveled alone, and yes, the room is small. For me, not a problem though, and the amenities, character and location of the hotel more than made up for the small room. Loved the charm & furnishings in the room and the lobby. Location of the hotel is fantastic. The free breakfast is excellent- also loved the coffee and newspapers in the lobby in the morning. All the staff I met were very friendly and helpful. I WILL be back!

Love this hotel--chic and comfortable and the food is yummy, too (though don't expect quick service). However, housekeeping sounded like a recycling truck rumbling through the neighborhood while cleaning rooms on my hall early Saturday morning. Dragging bags full of glass bottles down the hall loud. Completely ruined my sleep which was a bummer as the room itself was very comfy. As a former New Yorker I don't expect to have a completely quiet stay anywhere in Manhattan, but this was notably bad.
