Casa Azul Hotel Blu-Ubs Arena

The hotel was ok. It was very near to family. So it was convenient. The staff was extremely nice. Some f the clientele was rowdy and there was a smell of smoke. The safe did constantly bleach the floors to get rid of the odor. I would stay again.

If you are a smoker, or enjoy the overwhelming stench of smoke, a train directly next to your room and the (albeit happy) sounds of a daycare playground on the other side this is the place for you! The hotel smelled strongly of smoke and air freshener upon entering. Some of the front desk staff were apathetic/rude, some were somewhat helpful. Nothing really works in this hotel - except the shower. The elevator doesn't work, the lights don't work, the hairdryers don't work. The staff's attitude is "oh well...we don't have it/it doesn't work." Curtains and linens had cigarette burn holes in them. The room had an ashtray in it and it was abundantly clear people use them in the hotel. The competing smells of ********* and cigarette smoke were intense. The hotel is about 150 feet from the train, and on the other side a daycare opens early. Don't worry you won't be able to sleep due to the smell anyway. Also be aware that you need to drive or uber to UBS from here it is not possible to walk. Aside from all of this it's not very clean. If you walk around in socks you might have to throw them away, the floors were sticky and also covered with dust and debris. In short it was nasty.

There serveses no food

The place was a bit ghetto and the staff at the front desk didn’t acknowledge your presence. The room was nice but the shower was nasty and the sheets were dirty.

I had reserved and prepaid for a room on ******* and had a confirmation. When I arrived to the hotel after a long day of traveling, I was told that my reservation was declined. No explanation, just that I now had to call ******* to get a refund and that if I want to get into a room, my only option is to make a second booking and pay front desk full price for a room I had already paid for. The front desk full price was $40 more than the ******* price. Of course I have to do this because I am 100s of miles from home with nowhere else to go. So at the point I have paid out of pocket twice for one room. I then spent the rest of my night dealing with ******* customer service instead of relaxing and enjoying my one night at this hotel.

Wish they spent as much energy on making their rooms nice as they did the lobby. Also, what's up with spraying the rooms with strong cologne to cover bad smells? Some people are very sensitive to sent.
