New Century Grand Hotel Ningbo Zhongdu

The hotel was excellent, with a great location and very friendly staff. They even gave me a free breakfast, which was a very nice touch. I would definitely stay here again. If possible, adding a washing machine would be a great addition.

Great location, right opposite the high-speed train station, which is super convenient. The room was also very clean and tidy. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time. Excellent, excellent, excellent!

The family room was spacious, clean, and tidy. The hotel environment was quiet and comfortable, with attentive and meticulous service. The facilities were complete, and transportation was convenient. It was a great experience for families with children, highly recommended.

I genuinely have never stayed in such a terrible hotel, and it's even a Kaiyuan (New Century) one. The facilities are worse than a City Comfort Inn from Huazhu Group… and the service… apart from giving you a room card, there was practically nothing else. I specifically requested no corner room and a non-smoking room, but they gave me one right on the corner, and as soon as I walked in, it was boiling hot. I saw a glass ashtray on the coffee table, but there was no smoke smell in the room, nor was there a mini-fridge. I figured I'd just let it go. There were stains everywhere that shouldn't have been there. I didn't dare sit on the sofa. The bedsheet had a tear and a small stain. I was truly exhausted from the day and didn't want any more hassle, so I decided to just sleep, it was only for one night. What I didn't expect was that the duvet reeked of smoke… I woke up halfway through the night feeling itchy all over… but I really didn't want to change rooms in the middle of the night, I was too tired. I just decided to take another shower in the morning. For breakfast the next day, I didn't expect it to be great, but the restaurant being messy and dirty… that I didn't expect. Is no one managing this place? The floor felt sticky even with shoes on… exposed wires, loose plugs… Is this Kaiyuan's quality control? Are they joking? Over 400, almost 500 a night, for THIS?

I'm really happy with the room; my friends always stay here when they visit. The Kaiyuan chain is consistently good. It's such a pleasure to have friends come from afar, enjoying drinks and seafood! The Ningbo specialty, 'sea melon seeds' (salted clams), is absolutely amazing.

Considering I had to catch an early train the next morning, I looked for a hotel close to the train station. I was a bit hesitant when booking, worrying it might be noisy, but it turned out my concerns were unfounded. The location is excellent – just a five-minute walk from the station to the hotel. It's also very close to attractions like Tianyi Square and Tianyige Pavilion, and taxis are easily accessible. Despite being near the train station, it's not noisy at all, and the room was quite spacious. The facilities are also well-maintained. Directly opposite the hotel is the Penjing Garden, and Nanting Old Street is about a kilometer away. The location is simply unbeatable.

Staying at the Ningbo New Century Hotel was a good experience. The front desk staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. The room was clean and tidy, and it's conveniently located right next to Nantang Old Street, which is within walking distance. They upgraded my room on arrival, which was great – it was spacious, quiet, and had a nice view. The separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom were a definite plus. It's definitely a place worth returning to, again and again!

The hotel is very close to Ningbo Station, just across the street from the South Square, which is super convenient if you need to catch a train or bus the next day. However, the breakfast was pretty average. There were also kids running around and chasing each other in the lobby quite fast, and I guess the hotel staff found it hard to manage.

Ningbo was the sixth stop on our self-drive tour of nine cities in Zhejiang, and we stayed at the Ningbo Zhongdu New Century Grand Hotel, which we were very satisfied with overall. The hotel's location is superb, right next to the south square of Ningbo Railway Station. For those traveling by car, the hotel boasts a huge free underground parking lot, making parking very convenient, especially for self-driving trips. The hotel lobby has a dignified and grand business style, and the front desk service was warm and efficient. We even received fresh fruit upon check-in. The room was spacious and bright, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the facilities were well-equipped. The hygiene was impeccable; the room was neat and meticulous, making for a truly reassuring and comfortable stay. Overall, from its convenient location and comfortable rooms to its excellent hygiene management, the comprehensive performance was quite satisfying. It's a perfect stopover point for self-driving tours in Ningbo.
