It was especially noticeable in the quiet environment. I couldn't fall asleep at midnight, then not at 1 AM, nor 2 AM… I didn't get any good sleep all night! A bit disappointing."

"The New Century Grand Hotel Ningbo is an established, high-end hotel in the city, and my stay during this trip certainly lived up to expectations. The front desk proactively upgraded me to a suite, which had all the amenities one could wish for. The bedding was soft and comfortable, the TV offered a wide variety of channels, and the in-room internet speed was excellent. From the window, I could enjoy the night view of the high-rise buildings in the Southern Business District. Breakfast was served for an extended period, with a rich and ample selection ranging from Western pastries to local specialties, including freshly made noodles and wontons."

"Spent the weekend in Ningbo and chose the Nanyuan Hotel, which is conveniently located near Tianyi Pavilion, Moon Lake, and the Old Bund. Upon checking in, I was immediately struck by the grand and imposing lobby – definitely worthy of its 5-star rating. After settling into my room on the 15th floor, the floor manager promptly came to ask if I needed any assistance and even helped me connect my phone to the Wi-Fi. Later, they brought some local Ningbo specialty snacks, 'Youzanzi.' All in all, the hotel's service attitude and philosophy are truly on par with top-tier establishments. I'd definitely make this my first choice for any future visits to Ningbo."

"After reserving, I received a courtesy call from the hotel, and we then connected on WeChat since I don’t speak Chinese. The hotel introduced me to Long, the housekeeper, who coordinated our entire stay with great care and attention. Before our arrival, they asked if we had any special requests. As my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, I asked them to decorate the room with flowers—and they did a beautiful job. They also asked about our dinner and breakfast preferences and were impressively organized in their preparations. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, but our taxi had trouble locating the hotel. I called Long, and he immediately came out to meet us—a huge help! When we checked in, they welcomed us with refreshments and even surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade. The room had a bathtub, which our three-year-old son especially loved. To our delight, they had thoughtfully prepared a child’s hygiene kit for him, including kid-friendly soap, shampoo, and a dental kit. We also received a handwritten note, a fresh fruit bowl, and a lovely bouquet of flowers. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, spotless, and very tastefully decorated. There’s a small indoor play area for children, including a slide, tent, and games—our son played there every day. We also enjoyed strolling around the grounds and spending time at the scenic swimming pool, which is nestled in the mountains. The food was another highlight: we had a delicious Chinese dinner and a traditional Chinese breakfast, both full of flavor. Throughout our stay, Long was incredibly helpful and made our trip truly special. Thank you, Long! I highly recommend Lost Villa. They have other locations as well, and we’re definitely looking forward to staying with them again."

"I brought my kids to the mountains for a short stay during the Dragon Boat Festival. A short section of winding mountain road was a little exciting. The homestay is located in Dongshan Village, with a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Xikou. It coincided with the plum rain season. Although there was no sunshine, the rolling sea of clouds was beautiful. I experienced two types of rooms, with different structures and complete configurations. The garden was not large but arranged in a staggered manner, with winding paths. It was a pity that I didn't have time to sit in the garden and make a cup of tea and daze. The first dinner was eaten at the homestay. The chicken soup was good, the outdoor "viewing position" was really intoxicating, and the fruit for afternoon tea was very fresh There are many places to play around, Xuedou Mountain Scenic Area, Ying Mengli immersive performances, and make a strategy in advance. Suggestions: Some snacks can be provided in the evening, and a list of attractions can be updated regularly, which is clear at a glance. On the way back, the housekeeper suggested to spend an extra hour crossing Siming Mountain, full of winding mountain roads, many small reservoirs, and viewing platforms...👍Good suggestions"

"We had a wonderful stay at Howard Johnson Donqian Lake. We went for my son’s friend’s birthday party and decided to stay overnight. He had the best time. The water playarea was fantastic and had good spa facilities. Breakfast was good too. A huge thank you to my hotel butler Min 管家小敏 who answered all our queries and looked after us during our stay. Will definitely come back."
