We were here for two nights. The staff was very friendly and we had a very nice experience with the owners. The campsite was fenced, so there were no animals in the campsite at night. The sunset from the front of the restaurant was breathtaking. As we were in July, there were no mosquitoes either, which helped to make our experience at the campsite even better.

Wow, this was just a great experience! We have already decided we will go back and stay for 7 days. We stayed for 3 nights, we were greeted by Darius, he gave us a quick camp orientation, showed us everything we needed, and just gave us a warm welcome. That night we had dinner, that was a lovely meal. Lovely home cooked food. We left early the next morning to kasane, as this was our first time there I went to Amelda to ask he how we should drive and when we come back from Kasane, she pulled out a map showed me exactly where to go, where are some nice waterholes and what roads to mis due to deep sand. The last day as we were getting our fire ready one massive thunderstorm blew through the camp, while Anton was walking past he said we can go and braai at the bar area, that was great, a beautiful view with a fire. All in all, great place. An abundance of shade, that’s lovely, clean bathrooms, wonderful waterhole saw some elephants on 2 nights. Great people running the property, Amelda & Anton are real people. And Darius is a champion. As a bird watching family, this was also an amazing place to just sit and look for something special! You will see us again, hopefully soon!!

We stayed at Mwandi View for two nights at their campsite with our 4×4 with rooftop tent. We were welcomed by Keddy, who was very friendly and gave us clear instructions about the available facilities. The owners, Amelia & Anton, were the most kind, helpful and down-to-earth people we've met during our stay in Botswana; in for a joke, informative and flexible (there was a slight miscommunication with regards to our pre-booked meals, but they made sure we were well catered for regardless)! The home-made meals were, without exception or exaggeration, exquisite! It's in the name of the accommodation, but there's nothing that can beat the view from Mwandi View. Great pool, perfect bar and amazing staff! Special thanks to Brooks for the amazing game drive! We were also happy to become friends with Bruno, the friendliest of dogs who's job was to collect all the empty pet bottles and recycle them into his own personal toy collection. The night before our departure we asked for directions and received a hand-drawn map from Anton. We were glad we followed his instructions, because the route was beautiful and whilst bumpy, very much doable! Also managed to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, baboons, antilopes and impala (AFI's, as Amelia called them)! Thanks fo the short but memorable stay!!

We stayed two nights in a tented chalet to allow us to self-drive the Ngoma end of Chobe Riverfront. Warm greeting from staff and a couple of interesting chats with the owners made us feel very welcome. Chalet was fine with nice view - just surprised that the kitchenette only has microwave, kettle and cutlery - no cooking rings or pots/pans. So only way to do eggs in the morning is scrambled in the micro! We ate (pre-booked) dinners in the dining area and these were a real highlight - top class food and friendly a**osphere.

Group booking in advance of 4 tented self catering units for 3 nights. Positioned right next to the main road overlooking the river in the distance. Our group was separated and owners were completely unhelpful when we asked if we could be grouped together. Units are advertised with braai facilities but braai stands have to be brought from the campsite if required. Our unit didn’t have a two plate stove and we needed to use our own lighting inside. Two of the self catering units are positioned along the side of the property away from the direct river view like the others which is not obvious on the website. On a number of occasions the owner walked around shouting loudly at staff which was very unpleasant and unprofessional. Owners did not check in once to see if we were ok or offer any useful information until the morning of our departure. We were also charged for using borehole water to fill up one of our vehicles…have stayed at many campsites and self catering lodges but have never had such a bad experience. Might have enjoyed the position and facilities more had it not been for the very inhospitable a**osphere created by the owners. Would not recommend.

This site is well positioned. Overlooking the river beds, 90 min from Kasane and close to Chobe. It tries to be all things to everybody and so does not fully suceed at one thing. Not super sorted for self catering - but as we were campers we could sort ourselves out. Camp site is shaded under the trees. But no view of the river. My mine gripe is that they needlessly over hype their offering when in fact it is more than adequate and there is no need to pretend it is something which it is not. ( eg rim flow pool - not.... but yes, a perfectly adequate cool plunge pool). the proprieters i am afraid are what lets this place down. A bit grumpy and disinterested. they should just let their charming staff engage with guests - that would be ok. Overall - i would say its well positioned and the beds and bedding were comfortable . If the owners did away with the hype ( and the P50 charge for filling up with water... just add an extra P10 to each room rather than be so nit picky) and let their staff engage iwith vistors i would actually give this place 4,5 stars. Perhaps they had a bad day ( days - we were there for 3 nights).

The most friendly and accommodating owners that I have ever met. Hot and clean ablutions, spectacular views, great beer, awesome viewing deck and swimming pool. we spent two nights camping and it was a perfect location for our tour.

Great hospitality and had a fabulous time. Delicious dinner. Would have enjoyed ever meal made for us but we self catered for two nights. Nice honesty bar. Beautiful views from canvas tents. We stayed in tent 6 which had a thatch covering the canvas. Aircon is really needed! Good staff member (Kebby). We also enjoyed the evening makoro trip by Chibeya.

We were one of two groups on a birding trip to Botswana. Our group thoroughly enjoyed Mwandi View . There were no campers and we had the entire place to ourselves. A delicious dinner was prepared by Amelia on the first night. She and Anton gave us advice as to where to go. It was an excellent choice for birding and self-catering. The elevated tents were well thought out. Some of us preferred the campers showers. Thank you Amelia and Anton for your hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble.
