Travelodge Kasane
"All ok. A bit pricey for what it is, but ok"
Tlou Safari Lodge
"We stayed here for two nights and it a great place to stay. The self catering apartments are all very spacious and well equipped with great facilities. The beds were very comfortable too. Unfortunately the food wasn’t the greatest but it wasn’t a big problem. The staff were friendly. It doesn’t serve alcohol but they let you bring your own. There’s a small pool area. It’s also conveniently located next to a Nando’s and filling station and a couple of other shops."
Destiny Blo Inn
"We cannot recommend this place highly enough. As experienced safari travellers, we were genuinely impressed by the quality, depth, and variety of the experiences offered here. Chimney, a local Setswana who has lovingly transformed his family farm into a game lodge, is deeply passionate about wildlife and conservation. His dream of bringing together traditional farming life with the wild animals that move through the reserve is inspiring, and getting to know him and Pricilla added something truly special to our stay. The range of landscapes and activities is outstanding. We explored Chobe, the forest reserve, and the remarkable Savuti region on a full‑day drive—each area completely different, each offering its own atmosphere, wildlife, and scenery. The many ancient baobabs scattered across the landscape were unforgettable, giving the region a magical, timeless feeling. The wildlife was exceptional, even by seasoned-safari standards: hundreds of elephants playing and crossing the river, a pack of 11 wild dogs, buffalo, giraffe, and an ongoing array of animals across every drive. We enjoyed morning and afternoon drives, a magical night drive, and a peaceful boat safari that offered a whole new vantage point from the water. And the value for money is honestly extraordinary—especially given our experience with safari travel. The sheer range of activities, the quality of guiding, the personal attention, the cultural insight, and the immersive access to such diverse ecosystems far exceeded what we expected for the price. It's rare to find this level of generosity, variety, and authenticity at this cost. The hospitality was exceptional. We were treated with genuine warmth, care, and attentiveness throughout our stay. Getting to know a local family, learning about Setswana culture, and understanding the realities of farming alongside wildlife made the experience richer and more meaningful. This is far more than a safari—it is connection, culture, landscape, and wildlife all woven together. As seasoned safari travellers, we can say confidently that this is a standout experience. We would return in a heartbeat."
Mwandi View
"Group booking in advance of 4 tented self catering units for 3 nights. Positioned right next to the main road overlooking the river in the distance. Our group was separated and owners were completely unhelpful when we asked if we could be grouped together. Units are advertised with braai facilities but braai stands have to be brought from the campsite if required. Our unit didn’t have a two plate stove and we needed to use our own lighting inside. Two of the self catering units are positioned along the side of the property away from the direct river view like the others which is not obvious on the website. On a number of occasions the owner walked around shouting loudly at staff which was very unpleasant and unprofessional. Owners did not check in once to see if we were ok or offer any useful information until the morning of our departure. We were also charged for using borehole water to fill up one of our vehicles…have stayed at many campsites and self catering lodges but have never had such a bad experience. Might have enjoyed the position and facilities more had it not been for the very inhospitable atmosphere created by the owners. Would not recommend."
chobe sunset chalets
"The staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Our chalet was clean and comfortable, with reliable WiFi (thanks to the router being placed outdoors) and even a fitness machine for a quick workout. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the staff catered well to the vegetarian members of our party. We found it to be an ideal base for day trips to Chobe National Park or Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. The only small drawback was a rooster on a nearby property crowing at dawn, but with earplugs, it was wasn't too noticeable."
Rustiek Hotel
"Rustiek Hotel, Kasane – A True Gem! Our stay at Rustiek Hotel was absolutely fantastic. The place is quirky in all the right ways—full of character, charm, and warmth—while still being very comfortable. It ended up being the highlight of our entire time in Africa, which is saying a lot given everything we experienced on this trip. The atmosphere feels personal and welcoming, and every detail adds to its unique vibe. Thank you to everyone at Rustiek for making our stay so memorable. We left with big smiles and full hearts, and we’ll be recommending you to anyone visiting Kasane!"
Thebe River Safaris
"At Thebe River safari's you can stay both in a hotel room and on a camping ground. There is wifi at the reception but the quality of it goes down if a lot of people use it at the same time. The staff is friendly . The rooms look a little outdated but are still very comfortable. You can go on amazing safari's starting from this lodge in Chobe."
Cresta Mowana Safari Resort & Spa
"Large safari themed resort with close proximity to Chobe National Park and Chobe River. Great spa and massage facilities and also adjacent to the 9 hole Chobe Golf Club. Decent breakfast and dinner buffets, although the meats are a battle. Be wary of venturing out on the property after dark as wild animals may present an unwanted meeting. Overall, a comfortable and friendly resort."
River View Lodge
"We throughly enjoyed our stay here. The accommodation is extremely clean and welcoming. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We arrived at 10am in the morning and they let us check in as our room was ready, really super customer service that we were so grateful for. All the grounds are absolutely immaculate. The staff organised a Sunset river cruise, it was fantastic and a must do. We had dinner at the lodge which was 3 course, it was delicious and very good value for money. I would highly recommend The River view lodge to future guests and look forward to returning again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay."

Elephant Valley Lodge
"This is a delightful open-air lodge, with wonderful staff and accommodations. The tent cabin was spacious and comfortable. Florence did a great job making us feel at home and handling our schedule. Our safari guide, Sox, was funny, professional and extremely learned in all kinds of animals and birds and had an uncanny ability to track animals. The only (minor) complaint is that the lodge is a ways from the park. "
Gem Villa Inn
"Good location, clean spacious rooms and allows you to prepare your own meals. The staff is very welcoming. They also offer activities like game drive, boat cruise, tour to the Kazungula bridge where four countries meet (Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia -called the quadripoint), Quad biking and day trip to Victoria falls. I really enjoyed the quadbike experience, whether you are a first time rider they always teach you so perfectly."
Chobe Safari Lodges
"We arrived at the hotel yesterday and are still here. When we entered our room, we noted that there were no hand towels, washcloths, or shampoo in the bathroom. I called reception and asked for the needed towels as I could borrow my wife’s shampoo. After 5.5 hours and a promise to bring the towels to our room, I went to the reception desk to request the towels again but still no towels. This morning, after housekeeping came to our room, we again requested hand towels and washcloths. When we returned to our room, there were none. In asking other members of our tour group, we found that many had the same experience. This certainly detracts from the overall experience since even the worst hotels are able to give every guest the needed towels. This is a shame since the property is beautiful, their buffets are well-stocked, and the food is delicious. However, when a hotel cannot provide the very basics, it really detracts from the overall experience and makes you question the lack of service. Apparently, housekeeping may not be given the necessary resources by management to satisfy the guests. If I were in this area again, I would take a closer look at other hotels. Washing one’s face and hands is not a luxury experience - it’s a necessary part of a healthful life. Perhaps, this is the reason for 3 stars instead of 4."
Big 5 Toro Lodge
"A great lodge close to Chobe. We were there as part of a group. The service was excellent and food well prepared. Rooms were very comfortable with aircon. The grounds are well maintained and extend to the banks of the river. The staff are all very friendly and take pride in their lodge"
Chobe River Lodge
"Everything about this accommodation is just so harmonious and inviting. We received a very warm welcome, and the welcome drink was served with a wonderfully cool towel for refreshment. The room was decorated with great attention to detail, and the housekeeping team did an exceptionally good job. The food and variety were of high quality and very delicious — and there was even vegan cheese for me 🫠 Since the service staff during mealtimes was quite young, I believe there was a lack of experience in both service and food knowledge. There’s definitely room for improvement there. In the afternoon, we went on a sunset cruise on the Chobe River with our guide BK. We saw so many incredible animals. The elephants swimming across the river, almost fully submerged — that was absolutely spectacular. And when the sun set in the evening, the scenery looked like a dream come true. The next morning, we joined BK again for a game drive, where we saw many elephants, lions, tsessebes, roans, sables, and more. BK is a truly exceptional guide — both on land and water — very humorous and, above all, highly professional. He shared his passion and knowledge about animals, birds, and amphibians with such enthusiasm that I couldn’t have wished for a better guide than BK. Thank you, BK, for creating so many unforgettable and incredible moments."
Ghoha Hills Savuti Lodge
"A most exquisite camp with a perfect location. Knowledgeable guides and wonderful staff. A safari location one will not forget. Wildlife and scenery that are the most beautiful and unforgettable. A gem in Botswana! We were spoiled with the most wonderful food."
Ichingo Chobe River Lodge by Mantis
"Had an awesome experience, hospitality was great, very friendly and helpful staff, all meals were fantastic. To top it off fishing was good even though conditions were not conducive (serve flooding at the time) Will definitely be going back!"
Comfort Palace Guesthouse Kasane
"Nestled in the heart of the city, "The Spice Merchant" promises a vibrant culinary experience, drawing inspiration from the rich tapestry of Indian flavors. Upon entering, patrons are enveloped in a warm ambiance, with intricate décor that evokes the allure of a traditional spice market. While the restaurant boasts an impressive menu, it is the masterful execution of classic dishes that truly sets it apart, making it a must-visit for those seeking authentic Indian cuisine. The Food: The menu features a well-curated selection of appetizers, curries, and tandoori specialties, with a particular emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients. The "Samosas" are a standout, with crisp, golden-brown pastry encasing a flavorful potato and pea filling that bursts with aromatic spices. The "Butter Chicken" is a testament to the chef's expertise, featuring tender chicken pieces swimming in a creamy, tomato-based sauce that is both rich and balanced. For the adventurous diner, the "Lamb Rogan Josh" offers a complex blend of spices that dance on the palate with every bite. The Service: The staff at "The Spice Merchant" are knowledgeable and attentive, providing personalized recommendations to suit each diner's taste. They are well-versed in the nuances of the dishes, readily explaining the origin of spices and cooking techniques. While service was prompt, there were occasional minor hiccups in coordinating orders during peak hours. Ambiance: The restaurant's design seamlessly blends modern aesthetics with traditional Indian elements, creating an inviting atmosphere. Soft lighting, plush seating, and subtle background music contribute to a relaxed dining experience. The open kitchen layout allows guests to catch glimpses of the culinary artistry in action, adding to the overall dining experience."
Nkanga Hotel
"We had very bad experience in this accommodation. They cheated us to change a room where the toilet couldn’t be used. We had to use a public guest toilet instead. We asked to refund us that night. They refused. Besides, this lodge is far away from everything and all facilities were dated. The breakfast & dinner were very poor. But there was no any shops and restaurants around. It’s an isolated accommodation where you couldn’t enjoy a holiday."
