Travelodge Kasane
"Gave me the wrong room type but ended up changing it back to the proper one. The staff was incredible and super helpful. The food was totally awful and way too expensive. Please do not eat dinner there, buffet was probably the worst I’ve ever had."
chobe sunset chalets
"The staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Our chalet was clean and comfortable, with reliable WiFi (thanks to the router being placed outdoors) and even a fitness machine for a quick workout. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the staff catered well to the vegetarian members of our party. We found it to be an ideal base for day trips to Chobe National Park or Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. The only small drawback was a rooster on a nearby property crowing at dawn, but with earplugs, it was wasn't too noticeable."
Bush Adventure Guest House
"If you don't want to stay in a hostel with shared bathrooms, this is a great place to stay in Kazungula! It's clean, with hot showers, and the rooms are cozy. The owner, Mr. H, is German (or of German descent) and very friendly. He offers tons of travel advice, just like a friend, so you don't have to worry about being in an unfamiliar area. While the location is a little tricky to find, the owner will provide directions. I took a taxi from the Zambian border, which cost about 100 Pula."
Elephant Valley Lodge
"From pickup at the border to drop off at the Kasane Airport, our 2 nights at Elephant Valley Lodge was the perfect start to our first Safari experience. Florence, Christian and the staff are very friendly, the 3 buffet meals were all fantastic (chicken skewers were some of the best ever eaten) and boma fire and meals a treat. Shout out to the fire master. Our guide Socks, was extremely knowledgeable. Please remember this is Botswana and it's a Safari, I couldn't ask more of the people or experience."
Mwandi View
" This site is well positioned. Overlooking the river beds, 90 min from Kasane and close to Chobe. It tries to be all things to everybody and so does not fully suceed at one thing. Not super sorted for self catering - but as we were campers we could sort ourselves out. Camp site is shaded under the trees. But no view of the river. My mine gripe is that they needlessly over hype their offering when in fact it is more than adequate and there is no need to pretend it is something which it is not. ( eg rim flow pool - not.... but yes, a perfectly adequate cool plunge pool). the proprieters i am afraid are what lets this place down. A bit grumpy and disinterested. they should just let their charming staff engage with guests - that would be ok. Overall - i would say its well positioned and the beds and bedding were comfortable . If the owners did away with the hype ( and the P50 charge for filling up with water... just add an extra P10 to each room rather than be so nit picky) and let their staff engage iwith vistors i would actually give this place 4,5 stars. Perhaps they had a bad day ( days - we were there for 3 nights). "
Beulah Court Vineyard Guest House
Ghoha Hills Savuti Lodge
"A most exquisite camp with a perfect location. Knowledgeable guides and wonderful staff. A safari location one will not forget. Wildlife and scenery that are the most beautiful and unforgettable. A gem in Botswana! We were spoiled with the most wonderful food."
Muchenje Safari Lodge
"We stayed at Muchenje Safari Lodge on the Chobe Forest Reserve October 2025. The lodge is very well managed and organised with a team of highly professional, enthusiastic staff. The welcome is very warm and genuine and we were well looked after throughout our 4 night stay. The chef and all the staff went the extra mile to help my husband celebrate his 80th birthday whilst we were there. Including great african dancing & singing. We enjoyed both the safari drives around the lodge and into the National Park and had a great wildlife experience thanks to our very capable guide, GB. He was very helpful and caring towards my husband, who has some mobility issues and did everything possible to make both the jeep and the boat accessible for us. We have two highlights. Firstly the daily boat trips we took along the Chobe River to see the stunning elephants, other animals and birdlife, and secondly, just to sit on our veranda and look out over the peaceful river below with its many fabulous visitors. We could happily spend 7-9 nights here as a holiday! Great lodge."

River View Lodge
"The River View Lodge was friendly and clean and was quiet as well as located very close to all the excursions. I would highly recommend it. The food was also surprisingly good."
Comfort Palace Guesthouse Kasane
"Nestled in the heart of the city, "The Spice Merchant" promises a vibrant culinary experience, drawing inspiration from the rich tapestry of Indian flavors. Upon entering, patrons are enveloped in a warm ambiance, with intricate décor that evokes the allure of a traditional spice market. While the restaurant boasts an impressive menu, it is the masterful execution of classic dishes that truly sets it apart, making it a must-visit for those seeking authentic Indian cuisine. The Food: The menu features a well-curated selection of appetizers, curries, and tandoori specialties, with a particular emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients. The "Samosas" are a standout, with crisp, golden-brown pastry encasing a flavorful potato and pea filling that bursts with aromatic spices. The "Butter Chicken" is a testament to the chef's expertise, featuring tender chicken pieces swimming in a creamy, tomato-based sauce that is both rich and balanced. For the adventurous diner, the "Lamb Rogan Josh" offers a complex blend of spices that dance on the palate with every bite. The Service: The staff at "The Spice Merchant" are knowledgeable and attentive, providing personalized recommendations to suit each diner's taste. They are well-versed in the nuances of the dishes, readily explaining the origin of spices and cooking techniques. While service was prompt, there were occasional minor hiccups in coordinating orders during peak hours. Ambiance: The restaurant's design seamlessly blends modern aesthetics with traditional Indian elements, creating an inviting atmosphere. Soft lighting, plush seating, and subtle background music contribute to a relaxed dining experience. The open kitchen layout allows guests to catch glimpses of the culinary artistry in action, adding to the overall dining experience."
Sunbirds Chobe Hotel
"We had a very pleasant stay at Sedia Hotel and would happily return. The hotel is modern, well maintained, and the recently renovated entrance and reception area look fantastic. The whole arrival experience feels welcoming, bright, and inviting. The garden is a real highlight. It is beautifully landscaped, very well cared for, and has an almost exotic atmosphere that makes the property feel peaceful and relaxing. The staff were consistently friendly, responsive, and professional. Any requests were handled quickly, and we never had to wait long for assistance. The only disappointment was the swimming pool. Unfortunately, it was not heated and therefore too cold for us to use during our stay. This was a pity, as the pool area itself is very attractive. Given the abundance of sunshine in Botswana, perhaps a sustainable solar- or PV-powered heating solution could be considered in the future. It would make the pool much more enjoyable for guests while remaining environmentally friendly. Overall, Sedia Hotel offers excellent service, attractive facilities, and a comfortable atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly recommend it to other travelers visiting Maun and the Okavango region. We would also like to make special mention of our guide Florence, who contributed greatly to making our stay memorable. As her exceptional service deserves individual recognition, we will leave a separate review dedicated to her."
Gem Villa Inn
"Best customer service, the rooms are so clean. The staff is very helpfu as thy packaged all our activities and we did not have to run around. A one stop service oriented business. Our wuad biking, game drive, boat cruise and day trip to vicfalls was so fantastic."
Elephant Trail Guesthouse and Backpackers
"The accommodation is fine but the staff is below standard. Basic things you ask seems like a thing too much to do. Like asking breakfast, after that you get a stare "do I really need to make you breakfast?" The lodge has opportunity but lacks motivated staf "
Cresta Mowana Safari Resort & Spa
"We stayed here for one night in the executive suite, and I can’t say it was worth the $500+ USD price tag. We had a mouse in our room. When I reported it to the front desk, they sent three people who tore the room apart and sprayed Doom everywhere. They did not offer to move us to another room initially, even though it was late at night and there was literally a mouse running around. After they couldn’t find it, I finally walked back to the front desk myself and asked to be moved, which they did. For that kind of money, the response should have been immediate—new room, no debate. Other than that, it’s a decent property, but at this price point you can likely find better options in the area."
Chobe River Lodge
"The combination of great hospitality and awe-inspiring wilderness makes this place a match made in heaven. It’s an incredible safari destination, and I highly recommend Chobe River Lodge in Kasane."
Rustiek Hotel
"Nice hotel with good breakfast. Some minor improvement points are a mirror in the bathroom and the bathroom door is difficult to close because of the bed. But overall we had a good time here!"
