Popular Nuwara Eliya District 4-star Hotels

In Noir, the weather on the mountain is relatively cold. There is heating in the house, but the room facilities are a bit old. The hotel is very beautiful, with a British-style design, a green roof and white walls. It is very beautiful.

As a transition hotel between the two Resplendent Ceylon hotels, this British-style hotel located in Noir Aire is good. The lobby, restaurant, and courtyard facilities are rich. The food in the restaurant is also diverse and delicious, and the price is very cost-effective. , the only disadvantage is that due to the high altitude of 2400 meters, the temperature is low, the room is cold, there is no air conditioning, and the cup feels a bit damp.

Me and my husband went to a 7 day vacation to the firs. The place is aesthetically pleasing and has a rustic vibe to it. The hospitality was a 10/10. The staff were helpful and kind and always had a big smile on their face. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The manager Sudharshan was especially kind and guided us throughout our journey. The food was amazing many varieties to choose from. My husband loved the Sri Lankan cuisine from there. A big Thank you to the team of the firs! ❤️

Breakfast is normal! And I have one more child for breakfast for $20, too dark! Because the road to the store is small and poor, because my chartered car is difficult to drive up, I asked for a small three-wheeled road to the foot of the mountain (about 500 meters away) and also charged me the fare! Although the money is not more than three hundred rupees, it will feel bad!

Nice hotel located in Nuwara Eliya. The hotel reminds about a western style, British country side hotel and is also good looking- both interior and exterior. The staff are fantastic and the service the best! The chinese food was so good here (it’s their speciality here) and the location is really the best, surrounded by tea plantages and beautiful nature! And they have a fantastic pub here too🤩

We stayed here for one night when visiting Horton Plains. An ideal ideal place to stay, centrally located, with a comfortable ensuite bedroom and sitting area. We were welcomed with warm soup and opted for the Sri Lankan menu which we ate in the dining room at the cottage. They provided a great picnic breakfast/lunch for our walk the next day. We were well looked after by the charming Ramjith who has worked for Jetwing for many years and was a mine of information. A great place to stay!

We went there on 8 July 2022. We were the only guest in the hotel apparently. The hotel was hard to find as no proper signs guide the directions. Eventually we got there. On arrival we were told that only cash payment could be accepted, this we found rather strange as there were 2 Credit card machine present. The staff hardly spoke English though as it was becoming dark we decided to have diner in the restaurant. Please see the photo on the poor diner at the CheRiz. As said the staff hardly spoke English and by insisting and insisting we got half of what we wanted. The WIFI was not working at all until we found out that it was only working in the lobby area. After diner we went to our room and all lights were turned off in the main lobby area, so it was scary to sit down in the lobby where the Internet worked more likely than in our room. In the morning we had breakfast with some French fried and eggs. Please see photo, rather poor I would say. We were told that the owner was from New Zealand and he just left for New Zealand. On the check out we insisted to pay by CC but that was not possible the said. On top of that we could not receive a proper invoice. Only after insisting and insisting and trying, the credit card payment succeeded. Unfortunately we forgot a power bank in the room Elgin, our driver called the hotel and it was found in the room. Good news. A few hours later we had made a plan, without waisting petrol, to receive our power bank back. Therefore the hotel was called again with our recovery plan. We were told there was no power bank found at all. We were told to check our bagage better as there was no power bank in the hotel. The manager told us that she had asked the staff again and no power bank was found. So apart from trying to get cash instead of a genuine traceable credit card we were treated badly on the discovery of our power bank. Therefore for us this is not a trustworthy hotel. Avoid in all instances !

It is a bit far from the city center. It is a very British-style hotel. The small garden is beautifully trimmed, the room is clean, and there is a balcony. It faces the tea garden. It is quiet at night and the air is fresh in the morning. I like this hotel. The hotel provides a buffet dinner with many varieties. Breakfast is also a buffet, with not many varieties. Very good British service.

We enjoyed four days at Ferncliff Bungalow and the resident manager, chef, and all the staff were incredibly professional, informative, and extremely attentive. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous with blooming trees, flowers, and gardens. The manager even provided us with a small rosemary plant to bring home (we live in Colombo) when we expressed how hard it was to find rosemary in the city. The room was very large, extremely comfortable, and we LOVED the hot water bottles brought to us in the evening. Also very much enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace in the dining hall. We will definitely be visiting again.

We spent a few nights in the Araliya Red Hotel at Nuwara Eliya and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfy. The staff are very amiable and hospitable, who always go an extra mile for us to feel comfortable and not have a sour experience. It is beautifully decorated and has a pleasant atmosphere. The location is also great, well within walking distance to the town center and all its attractions. Generally speaking, I would definitely recommend the Araliya Red Hotel to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya. ♥♥♥
