Very Good
GGuest UserThe chapel experience was quite nice, but there is only one shared toilet for more than 20 people, the same for man and women. Dim lights make the room quite private, we didn't see anyone, however beds are very close to each other so you can hear people snore and your bed shakes if someone staying in the pod next to you climbs on the bed. Moreover, as it's dark in the room, people obviously make more noise walking and getting ready in the morning.
The top pod is much smaller than the bottom one as it needs to fit the chapels ceiling. The toilets were clean but very busy, the free breakfast is nice and the staff is friendly.
BBrunoCostaI lived in Japan back in 2016, and I spent approximately 6 months living in a Capsule Hotel in Tokyo, so I’m very familiar with the concept and I really like it.
However, this was the first time I stayed in one with my partner. We are both tall enough men and I was not sure how comfortable we’d be.
However, in the end, we had a fantastic experience. And the value for money is unmatched anywhere in Dublin and the surrounding area.
The only issue we had was that the bathrooms were all in the basement, so if you needed to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, you’d have to walk multiple sets of stairs to get to it. And there were also only 3 bathrooms for the entire hostel which was definitely not enough.
All in all a great experience and we will definitely be returning.
KKloiaI only have this one photo, but overall I had a good experience with the accommodation.
One of the best things about this place is the privacy. Each bed has curtains, so you don’t really have to worry about people seeing you. It made changing clothes very convenient, and I rarely had to make eye contact with others, which is perfect if you’re more introverted.
There’s also a light inside the bed area, so you can read before going to sleep, and hooks for hanging clothes, which was useful for items I wore often. In addition, there are personal lockers that can only be opened with a code, which felt secure. The bathroom was also relatively clean.
However, the overall quality really depends on the people you end up sharing the space with. It was a bit disappointing to see how much the experience can vary. One night, I heard some strange noises from other guests, which made me feel quite uncomfortable and a bit scared.
If you’re lucky with the people around you, this place can be very satisfying. My first night was great, but the second night was not as pleasant due to some inconsiderate behavior from other guests.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in the city center. It's a 10-minute walk from the Dublin Express airport bus stop. There are many bus options nearby to get to other attractions, and most Galway tour group meeting points are also in this area. The bathrooms and showers are very clean, and the staff cleans them frequently. The only downside is that accommodation prices in Dublin are generally very expensive.
RRaymondIyenI so much loved the lodge, it was so very clean, the location was so easy as it is just few minutes walk from the Dublin city center, the most amazing part is that the airport bus 41 stops right in front ot the Abbott Lodge so using google map is also very easy. The service is top notch and the reception is 247. Room so clean and the bed is big even with extra bed for kids.
GGuest UserGreat experience. The room was clean and smells good when we arrived. They provided the toiletries, utensils, and they have washing machine, tumble dryer, water kettle, and microwave. They have almost what you need. They are very accommodating, and responsive. The location wasn’t too far from all places that we went. We’ll recommend this hotel.
GGuest UserThe hotel is right next to a bar that plays music and has live bands until 2.30am. Our room was on the first floor the side of this, it was not good after a long travel day. The hotel itself was a good location and clean, if you’re going for nightlife I recommend, if you’re going for day drinking and a good nights sleep steer clear!
GGuest UserManagement does not reply email requests, unfortunately. I asked to receive a refund or date change for a room shared booking as I needed a private room such day and did not receive an answer :-(
YYosshy123A reasonably comfortable inn among several hostels in Dublin. The dormitory bed has curtains and is convenient for sleeping in a capsule hotel-like specification. The nearby toilet was discontinued and I had to go to another floor, but it was inconvenient, but it was a good inn for saving the inn.
