Lindner Hotel Oberstaufen

Nice hotel in Oberstaufen as a base for all hiking excursions. The staff goes above and beyond. I would particularly like to thank Halime Mansouri from reception for her help with our reservation. The only thing that fell way below expectations was the quality of the room service food. The hotel seems slightly dated, but really adds more to the cozy and local charm than anything else. Everything was clean and well taken care of. It was about a 10min walk to the main bus and train station.

great location, and views. BUT, upgraded king rooms are merely two twins pushed together. Didnt even get King bedding. Restaurant provides VERY limited options (three entrees, meat, fish or salad at 49 euros each). Probably wouldn't come back. I had high hopes but was not satisfied.

We stayed at Lindner for 3 nights in march 22. We really enjoyed this hotel. They were greeted friendly and checked in quickly. The food at the hotel restaurant is pricey but it was delicious. We really enjoyed the hotel bar, it is very comfortable to sit there and the cocktails and drinks are really yummy. We can also recommend the spa area. Amazing saunas! I really liked the interior of the hotel. It's also just a short walk into town. Great location. Buffet breakfast was good, there's something for everyone I reckon. One thing I didn't like was the stuffy air in our room. We left the window open at night so we have fresh air but it was still stuffy and too warm for my liking. All in all I can recommend staying here for short weekend getaway 🙂

I booked a comfort room (one above regular) for a hefty €315. On that level Lindner hotel in Oberstaufen is not matching expectations. My room was over the kitchen with noise until late night, the bed had cheap plastic duvet and pillow, the underground carpark is a carport not suitable for all cars, reception was not very welcoming (haven't even asked how my stay was, else I had told them instead of writing here), no service at breakfast etc. See, all no big things and nothing wrong with that if you are a €150 hotel. Pretending the luxurious Spa thingy, this went south.
