This hotel is a gem. The property is a beautiful provincial house with large gardens, a large parking area and quaint rooms. The owners are outstanding and very friendly. As well, the breakfast is typically French and wonderful. The town is centrally located and provides easy access to a multitude of locations. Comfortable, great location and relaxing.

Once again Neilson offer the best value ski holidays anywhere. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and rep team based at the Hotel Del Clos in El Tartar, Andorra. They certainly go the extra mile to ensure that the holiday is a wonderful experience. The hotel was extremely well managed by a friendly staff, the rooms were comfortable and spacious, the food absolutely outstanding and the evening entertainment laid on by Sam and Henry was both well targeted and enjoyable. The company should be very proud of their staff at this excellent hotel. I travelled there with my son for the second year and we will be returning next year. Thank you Neilson for making it so special.

Amazing place, very cozy , extraordinary wellcome by the owner Annick . Breakfast at the garden, surrounded by beautiful nature. It is posible to appreciate paintings and sculptures of great artists inside the main house.Nice swimming pool, The rooms are very silent and comfortable.The ville is nice, with good cuisine , market with regional products and very charming.

My group of 12, in town for a very large nearby family reunion (cousinade), stayed in 6 rooms of the Hotel du Clos for 5 nights. We ranged in age from 28-75 years old. It was an absolutely marvelous experience. The elegant Mme Garnier is a remarkably congenial host and she and her staff graciously attended to our every desire and need. Her young assistants Marie and Maell couldn’t have been more delightful and helpful. The large, very provincial garden is beautiful, and filled with art; the small but lovely swimming pool allowed all of us to cool off in the heat and relax; breakfast on the terrace included the best pastries, yogurt and violet syrup; and the rooms were charming, clean and attractive....and air conditioned! While some in our group spoke a little French, we were able to communicate very well with the entire staff. We all hope to return next year so we can relax again in this beautiful environment, be pampered by the staff, and eat again at the Michelin-starred sister restaurant, St. Pierre du Clos. Don’t forget to book ahead or you will be out of luck.

Just a few things to be aware of: - the hotel is in a busy area and during our stay there was constant noise from school children next door and building work from all sides. It’s not peaceful or rural. - we really struggled with the language barrier, we are English and the owner is French with English that isn’t really good enough to have a conversation. We asked a few times before we went whether there was an English speaker and only found out on arrival there was (Sharon, part time). It would have helped us enormously to have been able to have a conversation with her prior to arrival as we had a baby with us and were trying to work out how supper would work/how close the restaurant was, where our room in the hotel was, babysitting options etc. this was all left frustratingly unaddressed. - the restaurant is not on the property, it’s a short walk away - useful for parents to know!

I'm half reluctant to write this review, as we simply couldn't believe our luck on stumbling across hotel du clos in August this year - i'm keen for it to stay a hidden gem. We had a couple of weeks driving around France from the UK, with the final leg of our holiday visiting the Cote D'Azur. We spent two nights in Nice and simply couldn't believe how busy it was, and were keen to stay somewhere more relaxing. During some research on the Telegraph, Hotel Du Clos had been rated 9/10 and i therefore checked for availability. To my surprise there was a room free, with a terrace, with the room rate being very reasonable comparatively. We ended up staying at Hotel Du Clos for three nights. I genuinely felt that this is a special place, and really ticked up the boxes. We ate at the Bistro down the road every night which was equally as excellent. I couldn't think of a better way to finish our french holiday than staying at Hotel Du Clos, and i do hope to return in the future. Thank you Hotel Du Clos.

Is third time we stay here for an extended weekend and as usually we are extremely satisfied: the location is super-relaxing with the chance to stay at the swimming-pool or with 30' go to the beach. Room was characteristic, wide and quiet and the breakfast was perfect for typical local food. Possible improvement should be a better coverage of WiFi: looks not relevant for a relaxing location, but now connection is used also to read newspapers and other.
