Hotel Sunplaza

I stayed one night at Hotel Sunplaza Osaka. It’s okay for a short stay. The room was just enough for one person and one night. There’s a women’s public bath/shower on level 1, which was clean and convenient. Some floors have also has a unisex bath, but I didn’t go in as it looked quite dark. The room was cheap, so I don’t want to complain too much, but I do hope they improve the lift. It smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and felt dirty. I almost threw up every time I used it. On the bright side, the location is great. Right beside Shin-Imamiya Station on the Nankai and JR lines, which made getting around Osaka very easy.

Seem crammed at first but in fact very sufficient for us with small luggage, ladies bath house water temperature is warm not cold, all amenities included, even facial wash and cotton tips. Not noisy at all, despite located right best to west exit of metro

Hotel is right below the station super convenient. Can be noisy for light sleeper. Reception desk is not 24 hours.

very close to Shin-Imamiya staton, very comfortable and cozy tatami room with futon, 1 shower only per floor with only 1 toilet (1 male, 1 female)

Hotel Sunplaza is my favorite budget-friendly hotel in Osaka! For travelers on a tight budget who want to explore Osaka, this is an ideal choice and highly recommended! Located right next to JR Shin-Imamiya Station, with the subway entrance just steps away, the transportation is incredibly convenient. Nearby Family Mart and Lawson stores make it easy to buy food, drinks, and daily necessities.The hotel’s facilities are impressive: the lobby offers free coffee, tea, and drinking water, along with a microwave and paid washing machines, which are very thoughtful. The public bath features floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Osaka’s cityscape while you soak! However, people in the opposite building might see you, which could be thrilling for some, but shy guests can opt for private shower rooms on the corridor. The rooms are small, with just a bed, a mini-fridge, and a small TV, but they’re clean, comfortable, and offer more privacy than capsule hotels.If the hotel could add a currency exchange machine in the future, it would be even more convenient for international travelers—practically perfect! Overall, Hotel Sunplaza is affordable, well-located, and practical, making it an excellent choice for exploring Osaka! Note that daily room service isn’t provided, regardless of whether you stay for 2 days, 3 days, or a week—cleaning is only done after checkout.
