Protea Hotel by Marriott Owerri Select

Hotel looks very well kept, but the gym equipment should be refreshed to make the hotel even better.

Rooms were cleaned daily and the staff very friendly I would recommend if you travel to owerri to stay here

The staff has no urgency to solve any problem. My laundry went missing for a day. My room key failed 3 times in one evening w/ promises of a fix that did not happen. The food service is so slow you must place your order at least 45 minutes in advance. Even a capucino at breakfast was almost 15 minutes. I would try to avoid.

The staff was excellent made me feel like I was home

It was not as advertised old

On ******* it was advertised as a poolside view room and breakfast for 2. They initially did not give me a poolside room but changed it when I showed them the ******* booking. Now they refused the breakfast for 2 and said that when I booked that I should have selected/stated it was 2 occupants so it was going to be only one breakfast. They front desk staff do not understand or know about the ******* adverts.

Security is always important to my husband when I come to Nigeria. This property exceeded our expectations. The food, service and staff were amazing. Will stay here again!

Great

Check in process is laborious, and time consuming. Front desk staff are not attentive and need additional training.
