Just returned from O Pescador for a 32 day stay and loved every minute! There have been improvements to the hotel since last year which will be reflected in my review. This time we booked the hotel before we left last year and secured it with a deposit. We opted for a harbour room (which you cannot upgrade to when you go with Tui!) These rooms are facing the jetty and away from the other hotel with the weddings. We arrived on an early morning flight so we asked prior for the room to available which it was. They are in process of redecorating and updating the harbour view rooms, unfortunately our room was still waiting. Pros - improvements I wrote in my review last year that there wasn’t enough storage space in the room as no bedside cabinets or cupboards and as we were staying for month it wasn’t adequate. This was rectified with a cupboard with 3 shelves in it being delivered to our room. It had been specially made for us. The hotel had read and listened to my feedback and acted on it. The breakfast area had been covered in netting and plastic sheeting to stop the crows from stealing your food when you got up from the table! New coffee/tea machine. Makes lovely cappuccinos. More fruit options at breakfast and fruit juices. Whiteboard up to tell you what is available on request eg omelette, fried eggs etc Actually saw the staff cleaning the beach. The other hotel clean it regularly but only on their side. It was lovely to see and as we regularly walk ***** the beach and it was definitely cleaner than last year. The toilet by the pool was regularly cleaned throughout the day. This didn’t happen last year. General washing down of the pool areas, steps, paths etc. Never really saw any of the staff washing and scrubbing the floors last year. Information on trips etc put up by reception desk. New wrought iron balcony furniture. Lovely, but need to put something on the concrete blocks on harbour view rooms spikes etc as pigeons are regular visitors and will ruin the padded chairs. Cons The hotel still desperately needs a block of toilets for hotel guests at the pool. One toilet for guests and staff is not adequate. Although I think there are plans in the future for this to happen. Need an industrial toaster for breakfast. The first toaster only worked on one side. Guests complained when ***agement came to talk to the guests. New 4 slice toaster came and lasted a couple of weeks. The following day the old toaster came back still only working on one side! I think invest in an industrial one that lasts! The pool needs updating. There are missing or chipped tiles. Also the pool never seemed to look clean. I never saw anyone cleaning the bottom of the pool with filter and mop or testing the water. I did see someone just using a fishing net to get leaves etc out of the water and they was I think messing with a filter. More sunbeds and parasols. Two weeks into our holiday and we were struggling to get sun beds, people were using ch

We had a great two weeks at O’Pescador. The views from the room balcony were stunning. The pool area is quiet except at weekends when it seemed to get busier. The hotel next door had two weddings during our stay but the music ( which we enjoyed, even though it was loud, was turned off promptly at 22.00hrs). The staff were brilliant and friendly. Just don’t expect too quick a service from them. The staff seem to work from dusk til dawn and will do anything to help you. The rooms are what you would expect, a bit shabby and old but perfectly fine. The pool area and gardens are kept beautifully maintained by the garden team. There are only two parasols for around twelve sunbeds. All in all I did not want to leave. It was a great relaxing holiday.

We have just spent a wonderful two weeks at O Pescador. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and didn’t want to come home. We went with Tui and stayed in a Bayview room. The view was amazing. The pool area was mostly very quiet, there were a couple of weddings in the hotel next door but the noise didn’t bother us too much. Apparently, they are every day in February so something to bear in mind if you want to avoid. The hotel was in a good spot, the quiet tranquil pool area and almost private Dias beach was perfect, and when you leave the hotel, you are straight in to the hustle and bustle of Dona Paula with the main beach, jetty and restaurants all in a short walking distance. It is also about a ten-minute taxi ride to Panjim, and there is a bus service nearby. There are several good restaurants nearby, but I can honestly say that the best food I had was from the hotel itself. It is very pricy by Indian standards but still a fraction of what we would pay in the UK. So, why only four stars? Well, there were a few ******* that I think could have been sorted easily. My main annoyance was the lack of parasols around the pool – only two. Even more annoying was that when someone new came to the hotel and asked for a parasol the staff would just take one that somebody was already using. Fair enough if you’ve left, but when you are still around the pool area and have to go and stop your parasol being dragged away it’s not good. Just buy some more! There was no storage in the room, we had a small wardrobe with two coat hangers. As a result, the holiday was spent with piles of clothes everywhere. The wardrobe door wouldn’t close, neither would the window. The kettle lid was also broken. None of this ruined the holiday, but again stuff that should be easy to fix. Service was a bit hit and miss, all very nice staff though. If you’re first in at breakfast you will end up having to wait; they don’t seem to be prepared beforehand, and you may find yourself waiting whilst they clean the coffee machine etc. ******* aside, I enjoyed my holiday and can see us returning in the near future.

This is a nice resort but lacks attention to a few basic things -1. The air conditioners in the harbor facing and beach facing rooms suddenly stop cooling or even switches off suddenly 2. Swimming pool needs the steps to get in with the railing 3, lots of steps in the resort that need side railings 4. Mosquito nets for doors and windows. 4. Breakfast taste can be improved for the price charged 5. Sheets and towels are clean but stained 6. Gate that leads to the beach is rusted and the beach does not have a life guard or security 5. Mosquitoes are in plenty as they don’t spray the appropriate stuff . 6. The shower pressure is not much although water was hot . We were travelling with senior citizens and do not recommend this place for seniors. The front desk Salim and his team including security were friendly and responsive. The location is great and the views are terrific in the pool suites and beach facing rooms. Jetty is close and Miramar is also close so not far from the city What made it comfortable was the service from the staff and help. I would not recommend this place for travelers who want a quiet stay as the next door hotel hosts weddings that are very loud and play music until 10 pm. I would love to come back if they upgrade the resort with these basics. Overall it was a good stay but could have been excellent if they pay attention to some of these finer infrastructure elements.

This is probably the hardest review we have written - we booked 21 nights at this hotel with Tui holiday company - we only actually slept here for 6 nights during the 21 nights and the 6 nights were split 2 here and 2 and then a 1 night and a 1 night. Unfortunately for us we had booked right in the middle of the Indian wedding season. Next door is a wedding venue. The music starts around 10am Bollywood style music at decibels that has to be close to ear bursting. There are breaks of around an hour for lunch and then a couple of hours around 6pm that there is peace and quiet but then it starts up again till 10pm. I’m not against weddings even I had one but everyday is too much when you think you have booked a small ( 22 rooms ) and friendly hotel for a joint family celebration of a 65th and 21st birthday. The friendly part of the hotel is very true. The staff here are exceptionally good, especially Valencia and Akash, they will go out of their way to help and nothing is too much trouble. The one thing they couldn’t do is switch off or even switch down the pulsating window rattling music. So we kept moving to south Goa beach huts for a few nights rest bite but this does become expensive. £30 each way taxi and £50 a night beach huts and there were 4 of us so it was 2 huts per night. It is not Valencia’s fault she is the ***ager, but if you want peace and quiet then January / February here is not the place for you. The Tui allocation of rooms are very basic. The bed very hard, water pressure in shower poor, rooms are large but in need of a spruce up. We’ve been going to goa over 30 years so are used to basic but there is basic and very basic. Hotel grounds are lovely food is very good except breakfast is not appealing. Beach was dirty with litter when we were there but that I’m led to believe is due to the wedding venue next door. So we were very disappointed with our stay here, we will go back to goa but not to O ‘ Pescador in January / February

Small, cozy and beautiful resort. Right on the beach which is almost a private one. Mesmerizing view from our harbour view room. Room was spacious with a big balcony. Helpful and friendly staff. Food was limited but very well made and tasty. Dinner under the sky, right by the sea, beside the pool, is a must have experience. One area where improvement is required is the bathroom. It looked jaded and a bit small.

This resort is charging only for its location, we went in June 2023, and booked their harbour view room which is most expensive, that room was very average evn 2 star hotel has better room interior, washroom was smelly, towels were stained. For the price we paid almost 16k for 3 nights, this was not worth it. Also they have very limited breakfast options for vegetarians. So breakfast was not upto the mark, we had breakfast outside just because of average and limited breakfast. This was not worth at all. But staff was polite and good.

Idealic surroundings, overlooking the sea with very well maintained garden area. Basic accommodation but more than comfortable. All staff friendly, welcoming, efficient any requests were accommodated where possible and always with a smile. Very good food which can be eaten inside or out. There is not a lot to do in the immediate vicinity however, this was perfect for us. For recharging your batteries this is perfect. A big thank you to all the staff
