Hyatt Paris Madeleine

Convenient for strolling , but hotel very old, pictures of rooms doesn’t match with real view of room. Rooms very cold for staying with kids . Food assortment on room service menu not enough.

Pros: Good lighting; clean room; beautiful lobby; comfortable bed. Cons: very unsatisfactory room 200sq. ft.; very different than pictures shown; 2 feet between bed and wall; closet very small; the worst was the odd shaped bathroom with 3 feet high tub wall to climb over with shower curtain instead of class door shown in picture and hand held shower which sprayed water everywhere including the floor and one morning there was no hot water. This was one of the most disappointing experiences as a Globalist for 10 years for a room that cost $700 (I paid points and cash). The excuse was that the hotel was filled, however, I booked 9 months in advance. We will not return.

The Hyatt Paris Madeleine is a really nice hotel with a great location (we were able to walk to all the main sites in Paris - most places are 1-1.5 mile walk from this hotel). The hotel lobby is striking with a large skyline in the middle of the room. The staff is ever helpful and attentive. Would stay here again!

5 stars for a top Globalist property! As a seasoned Globalist family, we can say from experience that this property goes above and beyond to reward Hyatt loyalty. The hotel manager Nathalie Urban personally stopped by each morning to check on us, and was amazingly supportive and worked overtime to address our requests. We traveled with two young kids and grandparents, and even though the hotel was fully booked, she was able to work some reservation magic and secure rooms next door to each other, particularly lovely as we were there celebrating Grandpa's milestone birthday. The hotel staff are extremely attentive and kind, particularly with families that have young children like ours. The room was spacious for a family of 4, and had a lovely view of the Eiffel Tower! The neighborhood was walkable to a number of excellent restaurants that were surprisingly kid-friendly. Overall, would highly recommend staying here!

Overall, my recent stay at this hotel was highly disappointing, a stark contrast to my experiences over the past seven years. Previously, I was always upgraded to a signature suite, but this time, the downgrade significantly impacted my perception of the hotel. From the outset, there was no one to assist with luggage or offer basic amenities like umbrellas or water at the entrance. The check-in process was merely acceptable. Upon entering the room, the Apple TV was not working, further detracting from the overall experience. The room assigned to us was in poor condition: the coffee machine was broken, the bathroom was plagued with mold, and the wooden bathroom door was water-damaged. Additionally, the sink faucets were surrounded by grime, the provided toiletries did not meet the expected high standards, essential items were missing, and the towels were overly worn. The cleanliness was also subpar, with dirty curtains and walls. On our second day, despite leaving the room at 10 a.m. and returning at 3 p.m., housekeeping had not serviced the room. The gym was disappointingly small and disorganized, the only multi-purpose machine was out of order, and there was no water available. The spa and its non-functional steam room further added to the disappointment. The breakfast area was too small, leading to queues, and the quality of the food was substandard. Despite the hotel's excellent location, the departure of my usual point of contact at the hotel seemed to reflect the overall decline in service and facilities. This hotel does not deserve its category 7 rating; it feels more like a category 3 or 4 at best. This marks my first negative experience here in seven years.

The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to everything and is a very modern hotel with good sized rooms. We had a family connecting room and it was very nice. The breakfast was included, good options. We worked with the concierge in advance to book tours and tickets and the individual that helped us, Natalya was amazing and very responsive. However, the reason we have given a 3 star review is that the service during our stay was not very good and there is a lack of response in a timely manner from the hotel. Twice during breakfast we ordered from the ala'a carte menu and they forgot to make our order. Also, a few days before we were arriving we emailed them to confirm our car pick up. No one responded after a few attempts and when we called no one picked up the phone until 2-3 attempts. During our stay another guest's charges were incorrectly charged to our room including a wine bottle, dry cleaning charges, parking charges and breakfast charges. It took multiple emails and calls to correct this and there is still one 10 Euro breakfast charge that has not been corrected despite attempts to email the hotel staff. We did not order any coffees and were incorrectly charged. I am really dissapointed since the hotel was very nice but either there is a lack of training for the staff by management or they are charging extra to our bill and don't want to bother correcting. Once I receive the last credit back for the incorrect breakfast charge I will update my review. I am hopeful that since no one is responding back to our emails this review will help provide a response. Thank you for understanding

Staffs very helpful and friendly. The room was nice and bed was very comfy. Location was good and very quite if you want to relax, breakfast variation is perfect and delicious
