Hotel Esperance

This is not where you should look for great luxury and comfort.

Easy and practical access, clean room but dirty walls requiring cleaning or painting, blanket and pillows to change, bathroom equipped but missing a door on one side of the shower and hair hanging in the hair dryer. Very sufficient for one night considering the prices in Paris. Interesting price.

Exorbitant price (150€!) for: stained carpet full of critters (ants...?) no shower curtain, you can brush your teeth in the toilet, stained gray-yellow curtains poorly fixed, poorly insulated inside and out. staircase dangerous (broken rope as a ramp), sharp broken sink, questionable electrical outlets, disgusting mattresses, blankets from another age... And so on. The hope that you can immediately find another hotel.

Impossible to shower, no hot water.

Ridiculously small and dirty hall....dirty staircase and designed especially not to carry your luggage....and the room should be a model of any attack on cleanliness...from floor to ceiling, including bedding and the bathroom.....Absolutely disgusting.....All for the incredible price of...130 Euros!!!!! When requesting an immediate change of hotel, the person at the reception called the "manager" and added a supplement of 55 Euros (!!!) to send us 200 m to the AGENOR hotel (see next comment) So a total scam...which the proximity of Gare Montparnasse does not even console.

Arriving around 1 a.m., I called the hotel in advance (to notify them) who refused to keep the room for me, and told me to get a hotel room elsewhere because they would give my room to others. other customer after 11 p.m. They of course didn't cancel my reservation. I had to take another hotel, which cost me €30 more, but now the Esperance hotel refuses to cancel and wants to pocket my reservation. So they refuse me, but they want to take my money. This is simply theft. And ********** who endorses because, after contacting the hotel and they having refused the cancellation, they tell me that they can do nothing because on my side it was non-refundable. I am very unhappy with the treatment of **********, and above all very angry with a hotelier who is nothing but a scammer.

The stay could not be carried out. Due to an error problem on the bank card at the time of payment for confirmation of the stay by the hotel. I was informed of this by ******* messaging, and even when I contacted the platform's customer service, I could not find anyone to confirm that my stay was maintained. The situation seemed blocked, I had to move towards another accommodation solution. Rules too rigid, no dialogue. Damage.
