SO/ Paris Hotel

Exceptional! This new hotel in Paris was fantastic, and especially majorly helped me out with a medical emergency. Rooms: modern design with unobtrusive and dimmable lighting all over the place. The beds had a feather mattress pad and comforter to match, which in November made for truly cozy sleep. Even though I booked two singles, the beds felt larger and each person had more than enough room. The room itself was a very good size and probably enormous by Paris standards. The bathroom contained a giant rain shower stall, and the toilet was in a separate chamber. There were bathrobes and slippers included: the bathrobes were some of the most comfortable things to ever exist and felt like a treat after a long day. Amenities: there was an attached gym with pool area that seemed to also be part of a separate health club. That meant there was a good variety of equipment. We also made use of the coffee bar in the lobby and roof top restaurant that had floor to ceiling views of Paris. Restaurant: we tried the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. All meals were enjoyable. Breakfast had a buffet spread with a variety of breads, pastries, frittata, yogurt, and fruits. And you can also order a dish from the menu. Now I have to say that there's a lot that I take for granted at a hotel in this class, but I received unreal service from the staff after I experienced a medical emergency that put me in a wheelchair. A member of the staff helped us out a ton using his personal vehicle (thank you Jussi!). I'll always remember that experience and how helpful everyone was.

WOW what a fantastic hotel! From the moment you enter to the grand lobby, you breathe elegance, modernness, sophistication. Upon check in the room was not ready as we arrived earlier but we went shopping and to the sky bar and the views are FENOMENAL, then the rooms are spacious and with great views. At night we asked the reception for info about the gym/pool but and said opened from 7 am on 2 or 3 level, we went in our bathing suits and there was only a small hotel gym, not what we had seen in the photos. Went for breakfast and changed to our gym clothes and discovered there was a bigger gym and the pool downstairs so we went down but we didn't have our bathing suits anymore, and there was no one on the desk to give towels or explain the layout of the facility. Other than that the stay was formidable, the breakfast service and food impeccable and upon check out we finally met Tommy in person, who had done an amazing job recommending places, booking restaurants and transportations and programming our departure THANK YOU TOMMY!

My husband and I visited here with our infant son. We had a wonderful stay! The staff was excellent and very professional. The bellmen were some of the best I've ever experienced which was very helpful for our departure to an early train. The room service staff was also excellent. Room was well-appointed and the bed was extremely comfortable - we all got a great sleep! Our room faced onto the courtyard so it didn't have the famous views, but we were fine with this as it was nice and quiet. The rooms are a very good size for Paris and location was great - we walked to the Marais and the Luxembourg Gardens in the same day with a baby. Highly recommend a Studio if possible.

It was a great place with spectacular views, I liked the bold style and references to Sonia Rykiel. It was easy to have the club in-house. The bar downstairs is nice too; just a small suggestion to make it better. Put some new / more niche coffee table books in there!

Wow! What a stunning hotel! We booked this through our Amex card travel portal and we are so happy we did. Spectacular views form the restaurant and bar, food was amazing and the service staff was so friendly! Rooms are gorgeous, clean and modern! Highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is poorly managed. Staff is young and inexperienced. Our room was guaranteed check in at 3pm; we were given our room via email at 4:18. No call which they promised. We asked for hyper allergic pillows three times. Our doorbell rang at midnight with the pillows-Four hrs after our request. We asked the concierge for a restaurant reservation, we got to the restaurant and they had no booking. We were told we’d receive a promo card for one of the stores. When we asked the hotel, they said the promo was over. Rooms are nice. Bathrooms are good except if you’re sharing with someone - beware that there is no privacy as no door. Door only to toilet. Stay somewhere else that cares about its guests.

I have stayed at SO Paris quite a few times in 2023, and with my last stay in Jan 2024. Have experienced both their large suites and their base level rooms. The quality and standard of the fixtures and furnishings is something you would rarely see in other hotels, even other 5 star ones. Room cleanliness is also excellent - and consistently so across all my stays in their various room types. Accor status (Diamond) is well recognized and loyalty to the hotel as well. Breakfast quality is good although the size of the main dish for breakfast could be better. But just a small hiccup there. Service is top-notch, special mention goes out to Julie and Tom at the concierge and front desk respectively.
