The worst hotel experience I’ve had in Thailand in the last 4 years. Completely unacceptable for a so-called 4-star hotel.
From the moment we arrived, everything went wrong. Staff picked up our luggage and one bag fell, breaking two of my coffee cups. Yes, it’s “only” about $10 but the issue is the attitude. The front desk simply said “sorry” and didn’t even consider replacing them. Zero accountability.
Once in the room, the air-conditioning made an insane mechanical noise coming from the motor right outside the balcony. I recorded a video and showed it to the front desk. Instead of doing the obvious thing changing the room immediately they said they would send engineering. Two hours later, they called to say it was “fixed.” It wasn’t.
That same night, the Wi-Fi barely worked. Constant disconnections, extremely weak signal. If you’re a working guest, even downloading emails is a struggle. In 2025, this is unacceptable.
The second day, there was no cold water in the shower or sink. Again, we had to call the front desk. Again, engineering came. Again, “fixed.”
That same night, things escalated: the toilet could not flush at all. We literally could not use the bathroom and were forced to go downstairs to use the public hotel toilet. Engineering came again. That’s already three engineering visits in two days clearly not bad luck, but a systemic problem.
They offered us two alternative rooms:
• One smelled badly, like it had been closed for a long time.
• The other had no bathtub, which was a downgrade.
No upgrade. No compensation. No real solution — even after contacting Trip.com.
On the third day, water started leaking out of the toilet while flushing. I recorded another video and went down to the front desk personally. I explicitly asked to be contacted by a supervisor or manager on duty, because the front desk staff clearly had no authority or willingness to resolve anything.
No one contacted me.
I returned late that evening after work, and guess what the leak was still there. At 10:30 PM I called the front desk again, asking to speak to a supervisor or hotel manager. The woman on duty just repeated “ok, ok, ok, ok” four times, with a tone that made it clear I was an inconvenience.
At checkout, I raised the issue again.
In four nights, engineering was sent four times. Nothing was properly resolved.
This is a shame not only for the hotel, but also that Trip.com lists properties like this. Even worse is the front desk’s total lack of problem-solving, responsibility, or basic hospitality.
Avoid this hotel if you value comfort, professionalism, or basic functioning facilities.
