"Overall I had a good stay at Mood Hotel Pattaya. The best part is definitely the location—just a short walk to the beach and close to attractions. Easy access to convenience stores, food, and transportation. The hotel decoration looks nice too with all the smiley faces. My room was a bit small but fine for one person. The only downsides were the view, which faced an inside courtyard and felt a bit dark, and some ant issues. I left a couple of pastries out, and they were completely covered by ants in no time! Just a tip: keep your food in the fridge to avoid that!"

"The hotel's exterior looked great, and our check-in started pleasantly with a complimentary upgrade to a mid-floor sea view room. The view was lovely. However, after we dropped off our luggage and went out for dinner, the situation changed dramatically when we returned at night. The kitchenette area was crawling with tiny white ants. Having traveled to Southeast Asia many times, I know it's common for ants to appear if you're eating biscuits, bread, or sweet fruits indoors. But we had just checked in and hadn't eaten anything. More alarmingly, there were ants on top of my main backpack and on the dressing table. When I went to the front desk to request a room change, the staff member was very impatient. They seemed to think that since we'd received a room upgrade, we shouldn't be complaining. We were grateful for the upgrade, but if you upgrade us to a sea-view ant room, then my gratitude disappears. Ultimately, we had to switch back to the lower-floor room we originally booked, which wasted a lot of time. We didn't get to sleep until 3:30 AM. It was a very bad experience. Regardless of whether it was a high or low floor, the windows were drafty. Even though Thailand doesn't have winter, such strong drafts could easily make you sick."

"This is for Jomtien Wing, which is a bit further from Jomtien Beach.
The lobby looks new renovated and remains in the ”Main Wing”. When entering everything looks quite new, modern and clean. After check-in we stayed in a room in the Jomtien Wing. This part of the hotel looks older, also the rooms inside don t match the lobby. However, I m intereted in a room in the Main Building.
There are two pools. One is on floor 3 and compared to the other small. The gym remains on the same floor. Furthermore, the big pool is in front of the hotel and has an amazing few on Jomtien Beach and the ocean. In itself it offers many possibilities for recreation. It s really a wonderful area.
Lastly, I want to praise the breakfast. It is inexpensive and offers many choices, be it Thai food, Western food, sweet, fruit, etc. Shout out to test the hotels omelett. These workers deserve a raise no matter what they earn."

"This place truly has its own unique charm. It’s beautiful, and the Zen-inspired design of the building instantly soothes your mind. The rooms are spacious, the TV works flawlessly, and the bed is simply heavenly. The surroundings, the breakfast, and above all, the atmosphere are absolutely outstanding.
The only drawback — which in many ways can also be a huge advantage — is that it’s located quite far from the city center. But that distance brings peace and quiet, and around the area you’ll find charming little shops, street food stalls, and a glimpse into real everyday life in Thailand, away from the noise and crowds of Pattaya.
So yes, I absolutely recommend this place — especially for anyone willing to trade nightlife for tranquility and authenticity."

Jomtien Thani Hotel is situated on Jomtien Beach, in the southern part of Pattaya, offering a much quieter atmosphere compared to the bustling Walking Street and bar areas. In the mornings, the beachfront promenade comes alive with tourists speed-walking, strolling, and jogging, creating a vibrant and energetic seaside scene. The beach is a mere three-minute walk from the hotel entrance. The surrounding area boasts numerous massage parlors, restaurants, and bars, with a 7-Eleven also conveniently close by, making it an extremely convenient location. A taxi to Walking Street costs approximately 60 THB, and to the northernmost Sanctuary of Truth, it's about 100 THB.
### 2. Room Facilities
The room facilities are quite new, and indeed, the entire hotel feels recently updated; thankfully, there's no lingering smell of formaldehyde from renovations. The bed was very clean and comfortable, ensuring sound sleep during my 5-day stay. I booked a pool-view room, which offered a great vantage point, allowing me to often hear the joyful sounds of children playing in the pool from my balcony. The bathroom was spacious enough to easily arrange toiletries. A lovely blue woven beach bag is thoughtfully provided for guests to use. The complimentary tea was excellent, Taining brand, and very pleasant to drink.

The main common area is the swimming pool, located on the fourth floor, featuring both a deep end and a shallow children's area. You can conveniently order food and drinks by the poolside, and the loungers were notably clean and comfortable.
### 4. Biggest Highlights
The hotel shines with its new facilities, a well-designed room layout (which meant ample space for luggage without feeling cramped), and a suitably sized bathroom, all contributing to excellent value for money. The breakfast was superb, a truly exceptional offering, especially considering the hotel's price range of around 300-400 [currency, likely THB] per night.
### 5. Breakfast Review
For coffee lovers, there are two machines: one for traditional coffee and another for various specialty milk teas. The fresh fruit was exceptionally sweet, and the pastry selection varied daily. There was a good variety of delicious meat dishes, with new options introduced every day. The restaurant is quite spacious, so you won't have to wait for a table.

The front desk staff are absolutely wonderful; there's no hint of discrimination. Even with my friends who don't speak English, they were very patient and helpful with both check-in and check-out. Plus, there are a lot of Chinese and Korean guests here, which makes it feel safer. I really love this place! We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Pattaya!!! I'm already missing Pattaya so much since being back home haha.

The whole hotel is very big, especially the outdoor swimming pool. There is also a slide for children to swim, which is a favorite for children. I was satisfied with the hotel when I saw it, but there were no rooms on Ctrip. I had to pay at the hotel front desk, which was much more expensive.

MMIC. JI chose this hotel with room size as my top priority because I dislike small, cramped spaces. Many hotels post exaggerated photos that look disappointing in person, but this one looked exactly like the pictures. The room had a balcony, which made it enjoyable to step outside and admire the view occasionally. I especially liked how the air conditioner frame was built into the structure—it made the balcony look very clean and organized. However, the outdoor unit was quite noisy, which was a bit uncomfortable. Modern system air conditioners are much quieter these days, so I hope you’ll consider replacing it during your next renovation.
The wooden interior gave the room a calm and cozy feeling, and the shower was completely separate, so no water splashed out. My socks stayed dry for once, which was great. However, the toilet paper holder was placed awkwardly behind me, which made it a bit inconvenient—this could be improved.
The hotel created a small garden area next to the lobby café, and the trees there were truly beautiful. They’re about three stories tall—not many of them, but with enough variety in species to really make you feel like you’re in the tropics. It’s clear they take excellent care of the plants, and I loved that.
I also really liked the hotel lobby itself. It’s spacious and open, with a grand feeling comparable to many 5-star hotels. The only downside is that it was too dark. The café, too, was such a nice space, but because of the dim lighting, I didn’t even realize it was open at first and just walked by. If the lobby were a bit brighter and the café more lively, it could bring in a lot of additional revenue from those facilities.
The male front desk staff with long hair spoke excellent English, and the female staff were all very kind. The doormen were also genuinely courteous—it felt natural, not forced. That said, sometimes having the door opened every single time can feel a bit unnecessary, so perhaps that could be adjusted. It might depend on the individual housekeeper, but after cleaning, the bed sheets weren’t tightly stretched, and the floor didn’t seem to have been properly cleaned. There was something slippery on the floor, and it stayed that way for several days, which made it quite uncomfortable. It would be much better if the housekeeping staff could first vacuum thoroughly to remove all the dust and then clean the floor with a damp mop to make it fresh and safe.
Finally, one last suggestion: unlike hotels in many other countries, the TV wasn’t a large smart TV, so Netflix and YouTube weren’t available. It would be great if that could be improved.
I wish the hotel continued success and prosperity.

The breakfast was ok but limited selection and never seemed to be an abundance of food. They put small portions out at a time. They did have varied soups daily that were quite delicious. The swimming pools were always clean. There's only a few lounge chairs per pool and they seemed a bit tattered. There were renovations going on and I think once completed, it will be even better.

When we returned to the hotel at night and requested an extra pillow from the night front desk staff named Puke, her response was extremely rude and unwelcoming. In fact, during our entire stay, not a single staff member smiled or offered a warm greeting.
As a hotelier myself, I know how important staff behavior is in shaping a guest’s decision to return. Even with a great property, such poor service will drive guests away — and for us, it certainly means we will not be coming back. This is not just a guest relations issue; it’s a serious concern for the management and owners, as it will directly impact reputation and revenue.
