going back to this city after 26 years is quite exciting so I chose a hotel near the city center. I booked City Centre Hotel via booking.com. I requested for airport pick up but no one picked me up even if I agreed with their taxi cost of 15 USD. I needed a taxi because I am going to an important meeting that same day. After my meeting, a friend dropped me off at the hotel and I found out that the hotel is located in a very busy street near bars and shops. Anyhow, I already booked. The reception told me to pay extra amount which I just paid because it is already around 8 pm and I needed to sleep. The room is very small with no exhaust and windows can not be opened. The pillow cases were stained and somewhat smelly. Breakfast is good and staff are friendly and helpful which made it better even if the hotel is not that great. After walking around the area, I found out that there are better options within that vicinity. So next time I will tray another hotel.

An unfortunate experience, I found myself in the worst situation dealing with M Residence, as on the day of my check-in, the Sale Manager Vincent neglected to inform the receptionist about my booking, and instead of booking online for a fair rate, they wanted to charge me 50 USD per night, when it was only 24 USD online. Because the receptionist was new and unfamiliar with the process, she had to validate each step with her manager. It took me 45 minutes to check-in. The whole thing felt sketchy because I had to pay 130 USD with tax instead of 72 USD online with Airbnb small tax it would have cost max 86 USD if I recall. Anyway, I paid and received a very small room with hardly working air conditioning and filthy elevator. The swimming pool was breaking apart, and it appeared that the structure was inadequately maintained. There was no pool attendant, and no PH and CL analysis of the chemicals in the pool was available. The entire establishment is a shambles, and they definitely lack hospitality skills. Anyway I shared some information about my experience with the Manager who told me “The staff are so bad” I wanted to react and tell him that he should invest in training them but I could see there was no point in telling him has he clearly do not hold any sense of hospitality skills… The day before my departure I contact the “Receptionist Supervisor” and asked if I should do my check out now to collect my deposit back as I leave at 5:50 am and she informed to not to worry there is 24/7 staff at the lobby. Of course, the day of my check out there was no staff at the lobby to proceed my check-out so now they are ghosting me over 30 USD refund. In addition to all of this I intended to do a collaboration with the Sales manager upon my arrival a discount or free stay over some pictures which they gladly receive but never gave me proper feedback nor a compensation. M Residence is a disgrace to the hospitality industry in Cambodia. Their unethical practices and scams are not the way to conduct business.

This place has the best view in Phnom Penh. Team is extremely nice and kind, bed is comfy, room is spacious and feels like a cool studio with microvawe and water dispencer. Breakfast is good. I havent had a chance to swim but pool is very cool. However it is full of cockroaches. If one person mentioned this in their comments i wouldnt stay at this hotel. Not just one or two. I killed 15 16 teenager and 5 baby cockroaches. Didnt have a chance to meet parents. A friend of mine was staying another room and he left the hotel earlier and said there were even cockroaches in his pillow. So sad cockroaches took over the place!

We reserved a suite and a connecting room for our children. It felt as if we were in a flat. We stayed one week. We asked for a view on the Royal Palace, which I highly recommend. Hotel is very new and extremely comfortable and luxurious, staff very friendly and professional. Special mention for Sotheavy Hem in the breakfast lounge, dynamic and always ready to help and to the enthusiastic Srini. As othet reviews mentioned hotel is ideally placed. Hotel was above my expectations and I can only recommend to stay there.

We were traveling in a group, we had 8 rooms booked more than a month in advance, we arrived late because our flight was deviated due to bad weather, we contacted them to notify them about it and they replied with an ok. At 2:30-3 am that we arrived they told us that there were mo rooms available. The guy in the front desk had a really terrible attitude even saying that it was not his problem, and also telling us he couldn’t find our bookings. After a while the manager came and he did find all our bookings, and he managed to help us get the first night in a neighbor hotel (which given the circumstances we had no other choice).

I’d recently spent one night at the Patio Hotel. The building is located on a side alley not visible from the main road. It is nevertheless very centrally located once you get your orientation of the city. I checked in to a room on the 3rd floor with not much of a view (looking into the side walls of other blocks). The room itself is of a average size, it was clean and fairly quiet. Wifi and aircon worked well. The shower head was easy to operate. Bed was firm and I had a good night sleep. The star feature of this hotel is the roof terrace which houses the breakfast restaurant and swimming pool. Very pleasant view all round in the morning. Breakfast was simple but sufficient for me. Staff are friendly and helpful. They gave me a good recommendation of a Khmer restaurant which I had duly visited for dinner that evening. Overall it’s a very centrally located hotel for budget travellers.

I won’t stay there on my next trip which in coming in the end of this year. Hotel was near the main airport which was what we were looking for. The reception staff was efficient, friendly and got us to our room quickly. We had the best lunch at CCC and loved the extensive grounds and large pool. Room was clean, spacious, good bed, good air con for the price. Shower room was a little dated but ok. We were given a packed breakfast as we had an early start the next day. We would stay there again.
