I loved this place. Fantastic new hotel right inside the ancient city. I got the Kang bed, it was fantastic, not too hard not too soft. All the amenities were like a modern hotel but the place managed to retain the traditional vibe. The restaurant across the street is also terrific, especially the breakfast. Nothing too fancy but the food was perfect for my palate. Will return absolutely.

We stayed in the biggest room and were the only people in the hotel for the first night. It felt like this was our courtyard! Gorgeous room and hotel. The red lanterns are mesmerizing at night and the courtyard adds to the whole experience. They both picked us up and dropped us off at the train station which is a huge plus if you’re a foreigner. It can be a confusing place at first. Would definitely stay here again because of the ambiance and helpful staff.

The environment is very good, and it is not far from the South Gate Light Show and See You Pingyao performances. It is just outside the pedestrian street and can be reached by car. The mansion sent a car to pick up at the train station. The service was very enthusiastic. I wanted to experience the Chinese-style big kang room, so I didn't have high hopes for the internal facilities. As a result, the interior is very user-friendly. Whether it is charging, automatic curtains or dry and wet separation, we are all amazed. Moreover, their kitchen is in the opposite courtyard, so there is no smell of fireworks. It feels great to stay here. If I come next time, I will stay here again.
