Superb location, with very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed for only one night at the end of a trip round Northern Spain and it was a great finish to the trip. Superb views from the terrace where we could have stayed all day. A very well appointed and comfortable room. We would have loved to experience the restaurant but it was closed for dinner, but we did have a marvellous breakfast the next morning. Maybe next time!

A very unique and special place - staff was gracious, the grounds beautiful and calming. Our room had a private balcony overlooking the bay. Food was excellent both for a casual lunch and elegant dinner. Short walk down to the beach, which we had all to ourselves; just a short cab ride into town - we won't stay anywhere else if we return to Bilbao!

The Palacio Arriluce was formerly a private mansion and has been converted into a beautiful luxury boutique hotel. We only stayed one night, unfortunately, but it was an absolutely wonderful stay. The staff were uniformly delightful. We had a spectacular dinner in Delaunay and loved the breakfast there in the morning. We wished we could have stayed longer but it was our last night on a tour of the Basque Country. The view from our terrace was magnificent and the hotel is very convenient to Bilbao Airport and not far from Bilbao's city centre by public transport. I can't recommend it enough.

We spent a girlie weekend here (4 of us in 2 garden view rooms, which were spotlessly clean and very comfortable) and absolutely loved it! The location, accommodation, staff and facilities are of the highest quality. Although we did not use the spa or the restaurant, the pool facilities were luxurious. The hotel is a short 20 min metro ride from the centre of Bilbao, so we did sightseeing during the day and then relaxed and unwound in the beautiful setting of our hotel, overlooking the port. We also took a stroll along the promenade by the sea and visited the many bars and eateries in the locale. In short, I highly recommend this hotel for a quiet retreat and maximum relaxation. I will definitely visit again, this time with hubby. Thank you GRACIAS Hotel Arriluce !!!

It’s an impressive renovation with a cool view over the port . The pool is fun , good red wine and some not uninteresting art . The problem is the serving staff who are young , inexperienced and poorly trained . They are nice kids but frequently gormless You also cannot charge five star prices and provide a shower - no bath - with worse water pressure than a static caravan . The TV didn’t work - I suspect big network problems .

Impressive Palace. Amazing renovation with a very elegant decor. From the first moment the treatment of all the staff was exquisite. Great views of the Cantabrian Sea, on a wonderful terrace. Very good Breakfast, very nice restaurant. Love to mention one more time Service ! Perfect with no intrusion as it should be in real 5 star property Highly, highly recommended !

Excellent service and very nicely decorated. High end hotel with great views. I definitely recommend it for couples. Even if you’re staying only for one night do book a table outside for dinner at sunset. Getxo is only 15 minutes drive frim Bilbao so it’s a good option too for both places. We will most certainly come back.

Stayed 2 nights while visiting the area. Wonderful stay in every aspect. Hotel and facilities amazing and the staff exceptional. Hotel is out of a "bygone" era and sitting while quietly enjoying a cocktail overlooking the bay was wonderful. Would definitely return and recommend. Hotel is in a quiet out of the way neighborhood and you can easily access anywhere in Bilbao easily. The grounds of the hotel are private and very well manicured and landscaped....including the large croquet court. Cocktail bar poolside and just off of the reception area are very nice and serve great drinks. Room was nicely appointed and meticulously clean. Our pillows on the bed were a bit firm for both of us and when we asked at the reception desk they asked if we'd like to see a "pillow menu". I actually thought she was joking at first....but "nope"....completly serious. We asked for something softer and "boom" delivered while we were out and the bed turned down for us when we returned from a late dinner out. Very nice touches all the way around. Would definitely recommend and return.

Stayed here for the Akelaŕe a three star restaurant but while the service was brilliant, I left a bit disappointed with the food.
Very pushy on getting us out on the morning we were leaving, we were delayed due to having to wait for a table at breakfast. Rooms and view were excellent.
