"I recently spent five nights (four days) at this wonderful property, and overall, it was an outstanding experience. The Hospitality The highlight of the stay was undoubtedly the host. He was incredibly hospitable and always on hand to assist us at a moment's notice. Whether we needed extra amenities or a quick replacement for something in the room, he dealt with it immediately. Furthermore, his local knowledge was invaluable; he provided excellent recommendations for sightseeing and dining, and he went above and beyond to help resolve a few personal issues we encountered during our trip. The Location The location is perfect—smack-bang in the middle of everything. Because it is so centrally located, you have attractions to both the left and the right, meaning nothing is ever too far away. It serves as a brilliant base for exploring the area. Points to Note While I would still give this stay a full 10/10, there are a few things to be aware of: Noise Levels: Due to the stunning views, the property is quite exposed to the sounds of the local traffic and passing cruises. There was also some ongoing construction noise nearby, which is understandable given the area's development, but it’s worth noting if you are a light sleeper. Facilities: The laundry facilities are a bit limited, with only one small washing machine available. A couple more machines would definitely be a welcome addition for guests . Summary Despite the minor noise issues, the place is absolutely awesome. The warmth of the host and the convenience of the location far outweigh any downsides. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!"

"Excellent service by the staff and very comfortable room with a beautiful view of Erhai Lake. We enjoyed the hotel breakfast which had a good spread of local Yunnan food and western food as well. The amenities (gym and spa) were decent as well. It is located a distance away from the ancient town but is easy to get a taxi there."

"I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel in Dali. The hospitality was exceptional ! The owner and staff were always warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. They offered great advice on getting around Dali and exploring the local highlights, which made my trip so much smoother and more memorable. The Erhai Lake view from my room was simply spectacular. Waking up to such a beautiful scene every morning was the highlight of my stay. The hotel itself has a very welcoming atmosphere, and everything was well taken care of. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who will be visiting Dali!"

"I had a soothing and comfortable short stay at 山隅一舍. The staff was very personable, accommodating, and kind, proactively offering tea/coffee and prepared fruit. The room was clean and had a great view of the courtyard. At check-in, she even offered to upgrade the two-bed room I had booked to a room with a single larger bed but I was happy to stay in the original room as it was already prepared. I stillfound it to be a very thoughtful offer. The beds were also equipped with heating mats, which offered great sleep in the winter weather. The neighbors have some roosters that rise early, but I found it quite charming and fitting for the “out of the big city” ambiance. I could honestly just sit in the courtyard all day watching the cat and the fish. It was truly a tranquil oasis in a town that sees many domestic and international tourists. The breakfast also tasted clean, fresh, and was promptly prepared by the host when I woke up. She was also happy to offer recommendations to both myself and other guests (I even overheard her going the extra mile, offering to pickup pastries for the other guests to try at their request). The B&B is situated very close to the ancient town without being overwhelming, which although quite commercialized, is still a fun stroll since it’s nearby. The location is also a short DiDi ride away from many sights along Erhai Lake. Dali is full of independently-run accommodations and shops like this, but this one stood out for its great hospitality and soothing environment. The cost performance was also great. A hidden gem for sure!"

"A brilliant hotel for families. Very spacious and exquisite decoration and service. The pool is huge and they have a lot to do including a kid’s club, a big gym, and mini golf on the 8th floor of tower 1. Has an incredible pool and a great breakfast. Great location- Away from the crowds but only a 10 minute taxi ride to Erhai Lake to rent bikes or a 15-20 minute ride to Dali old city for street food. Tomas was excellent with guest service and their manager helped upgrade us to have free breakfast for our kids. I must have messaged Tomas 50 times asking about places to eat and visit and he was super responsive and helpful with all the local tips. Don’t stay anywhere else - this place is awesome."

"The hotel was a perfect choice for us. We could not speak mandarin but the hotel staff were so helpful. They made our stay comfortable. The rooms were very clean and there was automated bidet in the toilet. The breakfast was excellent. There were free coffee , latte and drinks. The location is perfect it was just 10mins walk to Dali Ancient Town. Halal food stall was nearby too. After our three nights stay the hotel arranged a free transfer to the train station. We were so thankful! The ladies and the guys front desk staff were excellent staff!!"
