Luxury hotel in the heart of Positano with a nice view over a part of the city and a balcony to enjoy the sunset. Warm welcome and very kind service, delicious breakfast and the possibility to park the bikes inside the garage. We would return in case of another vacation.

This hotel is absolutely PERFECTION. We stayed here based off Facebook suggestions and I am so happy we did. All communication with John and the rest of the staff was easy and quick from the beginning. We travelled as a family of 3 with myself, my husband and our 1.5 year old. The staff was so accommodating and kind to my son. They made sure we had a crib and also even packed us a to go breakfast when our flight was very early upon departure. The hotel room was huge, clean and beautiful. It had a balcony with amazing views of Positano. Honestly the pictures do not do it justice. The walk from the beach was very manageable which was important to us with a toddler. We will absolutely be staying here on our next trip to Positano. We really felt like family!

Although we had looked at some photos online, we didn't truly appreciate how great this hotel was until we arrived. Coming from the ferry port, we had a bit of a walk but since we had backpacks, it wasn't too bad. The location itself is amazing - it is situated along one of the main stretches of the town that has that iconic vantage point looking back on the western part of Positano - taking photos of that beautiful view from our balcony or the terrace during morning breakfast were effortless. All of the staff we encountered, both during check in, during afternoon drinks, and during breakfast were all very friendly, personable and helpful. The breakfast was a great spread and we enjoyed everything they had to offer. The room was very spacious and like I mentioned, the balcony view is perfect. Would highly recommend this place.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel California for three nights, the room was clean and comfortable with an extraordinary view of Positano. There was a small table on the balcony where we could sit outside. The staff were wonderful and the food in the restaurant Don Giovanni was delicous. In advance of our arrival, the staff sent us extremely helpful information about transportation.

This is the gem of a life time. Have stayed here a few times and is always perfect. Run by a wonderful family. Rooms are beautiful with unbelievable Views. Great location. Owner operated John and his family are wonderful. Would never stay anywhere else. Positano is a magical place!!

This is such a great hotel. It’s on the smaller side but couldn’t be more perfect. Balcony overlooking the ocean. The room was quite spacious and clean. Anna and Bianca at the front desk could not be any more helpful. The only negative was the buffet breakfast didn’t offer much. And everything they do have isn’t covered and the flies were all over it. I would stay there again though

Fantastic small boutique Hotel overlooking the sea, staff so friendly and will do everything in their power to keep you happy. Close to all amenities without too many steps to the Sea. The view from the balcony of your room or the foyer and restaurant is a nice in a lifetime experience

Our three night stay in Positano was beautiful with warm weather and great sightseeing. Hotel California is centrally located in Positano, about halfway up the mountain with a beautiful bay view balcony room. There is lots of walking and climbing steps in Positano, so be ready for that with comfortable shoes! Everything is in walking distance, you don't want or need a car in Positano. The room is clean, roomy and minimally decorated and furnished, but with a great firm bed. Housekeeping was spot on and kept everything nice and fresh. The breakfast buffet was nice, with eggs made to order and changed up a bit daily. The staff was friendly and helpful.

A small, lovely hotel. Staff was superb, all of them, but especially Bianca. Rooms were nice sized, best shower in the world, and OMG each room with a balcony and the most gorgeous view every morning and evening. Located near great restaurants and cafes.
