Michelangelo Grand Hotel

Old Town Prague|0.41km from Kostel svaté Voršily
This hotel is in the historic town centre near Wenceslas Square and Mustek Metro Station which connects to all places in Prague. Although centrally situated and within walking distance to tram, bars, restaurants and shops, it is an extremely quiet hotel. The welcome we had was so warm and welcoming, different to other hotels I have stayed in, there is water and sweets in the area and a lovely Gentleman at the door who gave us a warm welcome not just the first day but always had a friendly smile for us every day and the reception staff are very helpful, especially the young lady who helped us to get to the airport. We stayed on the second floor number 123 which had a huge bed, beautiful linen and plush pillows with cushions too, it was decorated lovely and had a fridge, air con and coffee machine. The bathroom was big and plenty of hot water and shampoo, shower gel, etc. which was replaced throughout our stay. The whole of the hotel is spotless clean, well so is Prague. The breakfast, well nobody could complain about it as it had something for even the fussiest of eaters. There was fruit juices, water, coffee, an assortment of teas, detox drink, cereals, fruit, cakes, different kinds of bread and rolls, cooked assortment and cold assortment with the most gorgeous cheese I have ever tasted. Croissants, small and large with chocolate and jams and lots of different fresh fruit, tinned fruit, yoghurts and a lovely pot with different layers of chocolate, fruit and yoghurt. Amazing breakfast, my niece is going to Prague and I have told her to stay at this hotel as it just hits all spots for me.

Booking from 14/02/2023 to 21/02/2023 for 4 people in BHG APARTMENT We overnight stay in APARTMENT 2 and on 20/02/2023 (dd/mm/yy) from 2 p.m. the water felts in our apartment so we had unease about hygiene and services (cooking included). We talked with reception and they said that we had to wait. At 6 p.m. we called again the reception to search for more information and we waiting until 7:30 p.m. They called us and said that finally we’ve been change our apartment with another. We were really tired (in order to not having a place were we could relax ourselves for hours before go out again in the night). So on, the other apartment was far from the first hotel; far from the central place (OLD TOWN SQUARE) where we want to overnight stay and of what we payed; and it also was in a place not really quite. The apartment was really bad, doesn’t respect the standards of a 4 stars hotel because it was really dirty, smaller, fetiscent and with no services (bidet, terrace, hob, oven…). We hadn’t a room from 2 p.m. if we liked to have a shower, we couldn’t! It was 9 p.m. and we really don’t even know where we had to sleep, where we had to go to the toilet and where we had to put our 6 luggage! The girl who stayed at the reception, Tatsiana, (and her manager too) propose us to have the night free and stay in that bad apartment, and also they will give us a voucher from 200 CROWN (exactly 8 euros) so on we could spend it for a dinner in the terrace with a special sit to admire the view! For what? If we’ve accepted, where we’ve to sleep? Certainly not in that dirty apartment! Obviously we said no and reject her propose (you can’t buy people with money or offer them a voucher from 200 crowns, when they are telling you that don’t have a place to overnight stay!) Over that, she told us that she was already called others hotels looking for a room, but they were all full! And also their sisterhood hotel and their presidential rooms was full! That’s no possibile! There are so many hotels near by Old Town Square! And a real hotel can’t be full on a Monday in February! Hotels always have a spare rooms! After 30/40 minutes a man come to us telling that they found a room in another hotel who was 2 minutes from “Hotel U Prince”! Weren’t it all full?! It was 10 p.m and we were really mad, tired and we couldn’t enjoy our last night in Prague! Leave and learn. I will never recommend this hotel.

I recently had a highly unpleasant experience with Mr. Martin. It all started when I decided to order room service, expecting to enjoy a late dinner in the comfort of my room. According to the menu provided in my room, room service was available until 10 PM. I called the hotel's room service line at 9:40 PM, well within the time frame specified on the menu. To my surprise and frustration, Mr. Martin informed me that the kitchen was closed and that he couldn't accommodate my request. I expressed my disappointment and confusion, explaining that I had called within the stated hours. Mr. Martin's response was dismissive and unsympathetic. He didn't provide any reasonable explanation for the early closure of the kitchen, nor did he offer any alternative options or suggestions to alleviate the situation. His lack of professionalism was evident as he seemed uninterested in addressing my concerns or providing any form of customer service. This incident left me feeling neglected and disrespected as a guest. The discrepancy between the menu's advertised service hours and the actual availability of room service is unacceptable. Mr. Martin's unhelpful attitude only exacerbated the situation, leaving a bitter taste in my mouth and significantly impacting my overall experience at the hotel. As a customer, I believe it is essential for hotel staff, including Mr. Martin, to prioritize guest satisfaction and strive to resolve issues in a respectful and efficient manner. Unfortunately, my encounter with him fell far short of these expectations. I hope that the hotel management takes note of this incident and addresses the need for better communication and customer service training for their staff. It is crucial for them to rectify such issues promptly and ensure that guests are provided with accurate information and appropriate assistance.

Believe the reviews folks. I stayed at this hotel for four nights in April of 2022. I booked a single room but was given a double room at check in. Everything about this hotel was fantastic. The staff at the front desk were universally friendly and knowledgeable. The lobby and common areas were beautiful and always spotless. My room was HUGE by European standards, with a large entryway with an armoire, a fridge with a countertop and a luggage rack. There was a kettle with coffee and tea, wine glasses, and minibar amenities. The bathroom was also very large, with a tub that was deep enough to completely cover me in water. The bedroom was bigger than my bedroom at home, with a soft and comfy bed, a comfy chair, a desk with a chair, and another table under the wall mounted TV. It was just overall a very large and comfortable room to come back to after a long day. The air conditioning didn't seem to be very strong, but it was cool enough that opening a window kept the room at a nice temperature. The hotel breakfast was awesome, and I ate it all four mornings. They had a nice variety of breakfast meats, eggs, cheese, yogurt and breads, as well as more unique things like tomato mozzarella salad, grilled zucchini, crepes, green apple juice and an amazing fruit salad. It was SO good. The ladies who handled the breakfast area were very prompt with refilling the foods, and it felt like dining in a real restaurant instead of at a hotel breakfast bar. The location of this hotel is almost as perfect as you can get for a tourist in Prague. Almost everything you'd want is within a 20 minute walk of the hotel, including the entire Old Town and Jewish Quarter, the entire Charles Bridge and Mala Strana neighborhood, all of Petrin Hill, and all of the New Town and Wenceslaus Square. I literally never had to take public transportation anywhere except to the train station since it was easier to just walk everywhere. There's a Tesco nearby as well as the amazing Havelske Trziste market, which is about a five minute walk away. The astronomical clock is about a ten minute or less walk. There are multiple tram stops in the area as well if you need them, including Narodni Trida and Narodni Divadlo. I've traveled a lot, and this is almost as perfect of a hotel experience as you can get. I will 100% stay at this hotel if I visit Prague again, and I don't even care what they charge. I'll pay it because I know it's a great place to stay.

Such a lovely friendly hotel just a short walk from Charles Bridge and very central for all city centre attractions. We stayed a week and walked everywhere. The staff were super lovely and the breakfast was extensive and tasty. The cakes left over from breakfast are available on the bar for free during the day which was a nice touch. Bed was large and comfy. We asked for additional pillows and were provided with memory foam pillows which were fabulous. The rooms are immaculately clean and well serviced with tea and coffee making facilities provided and our room also included a small fridge. Highly recommended. It would be my choice of hotel if we go back.

Room is well decorated. Services at the front desk is not upto it’s 5-star rating. It took me over 20 minutes to get checked in. When I checked out, I was asked to pay for my pre-paid room?! Please be careful when you check out and avoid being double charged. Honestly, the senior staff at the front desk was very helpful. The location is fairly convenient. It is just a 8 minutes walk from metro station where you can get to the airport within 40 minutes for KC 32! Cheap! There is a good restaurant next door and a convenient store around the corner. Gym is small. The treadmill was not functioning right. Not enough dumbbells. But, they provide free bottled water and towels. I would say it is OK. Overall, the hotel is not a bad choice. Not fancy, but good enough.

The location is excellent, 3 minutes from the nearest subway station and 1 minute from the tram station. But there are more beggars downstairs, and girls need to be careful when traveling alone. About 800 meters away from the old town, there are many restaurants downstairs, and there are also big supermarkets such as billa and tesco. The hotel has different social activities every day, and you can meet new friends. The equipment is also very complete, with a large kitchen, a mailbox and a computer. There is a fan in the room and the equipment is simple.
