"We booked a poolside family room with a three-person package, checking in on the last Saturday of summer vacation.
**Service:** The service was truly outstanding. Every staff member we encountered was patient, friendly, and proactive in offering assistance. Having stayed at many family-friendly hotels, few match this level of service. Upon our morning arrival, our room wasn't ready, so we headed out to enjoy the facilities. When I checked back later, it still needed a bit more time. After a short wait in the lobby, the lobby manager, whom I had spoken with earlier, personally informed me that our room was ready. This was commendable, especially since it was midday and the lobby was bustling. A big thumbs up to him!
**Environment:** The resort boasts very large swimming pools with lanes, along with a lake and expansive lawns. Shuttle buses are readily available throughout the park, arriving every few minutes, making transportation very convenient. They even offer shuttle service to pick up takeout from a dedicated locker, which was a lifesaver for grabbing bubble tea or other drinks on a hot day.
**Facilities:** There's a small beach, though the sand is quite coarse, more like fine gravel. This might be a deliberate choice since the beach connects to the pool, possibly to prevent finer sand from scattering into the main pool areas. The two separate children's slides and other facilities are better suited for slightly older kids; my two-year-old found the water at the bottom of the slide too deep for her. While there are many hot spring pools, we didn't get to use them much with our child. They would be perfect for a relaxing evening soak without kids. Overall, the water park area is quite good. Even for non-guests, the public changing rooms are clean enough. However, there aren't many shower stalls, so I'm curious if it gets chaotic during peak times.
**Room:** The biggest letdown of our trip was the room. It felt a bit dated and wasn't very spacious. I stayed in Poolside Room 2106. While some dampness was to be expected by the water, the truly unbearable issue was the severe sewer smell emanating from the bathroom. It was so strong that a foul odor would hit you as soon as you opened the door. We had to keep the bathroom door closed at all times. I strongly urge the hotel to address this maintenance issue; it was truly off-putting. For guests with high room standards, I'd advise against the poolside rooms and suggest considering options in the main building instead.
**Dining:** Breakfast was a complimentary buffet. They began clearing the food quite promptly at 10 AM, which is earlier than most hotels and not ideal for late risers. Nevertheless, the variety of dishes was sufficient, and the taste was good. For dinner the previous day, we had a group-buy set meal at the Chinese restaurant. Despite being a 'group-buy' offer, the taste was surprisingly decent.
Overall, our experience was decent. However, for families with very young children, there are many newer, more modern family-friendly hotels in Guangdong Province at a similar price point. The hotel definitely has room for improvement."
