Qinhuangdao Shanhaiguan District 4-star Hotels

Excellent hotel, I would highly recommend anybody visiting Shanhaiguan to stay here. The building is beautiful and includes a mini museum exhibition of calligraphy and lovely gardens. The room was clean, comfortable and provided 6 bottles of complementary water. The staff were friendly and helpful, even letting me check out at 2pm since I had a 3pm train to Dalian. Location wise the hotel is situated right next to the first gate under Heaven tourist area. You can get a good view of the gate even from the hotel courtyard, also walkable to restaurants and the drum tower just a couple hundred meters away. Lastly it’s just a short taxi ride from the rail station (1.6km/5min/8rmb) and laolongtou Great Wall section (7km/15min/15rmb).

The overall stay experience is very good. The room is spacious, the facilities are new, the TV can be projected, it is very close to the Shanhaiguan Ancient City and the railway station, and the front desk service is warm and thoughtful. Tea is served when you come and warm water is given when you leave. I recommend Gao Pigeon and Western food next to the hotel. The taste is delicious and not expensive.

The Shangri-La hotel is a beautiful hotel located in a prime spot next to the beach. There is a great buzz and range of facilities at the hotel. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, however, there were a few frustrating things. I arrived after the check-in time but my room was not yet ready. To compensate for this, I was taken to the executive lounge and my request for a late check out was accepted. At breakfast the next morning, many of the coffee machines had run out of milk and it took a little while for the milk to be topped up.

When traveling to Qinhuangdao, I chose the Courtyard by Marriott. Let me share my personal experience. As a five-star hotel in Qinhuangdao, no one was responsible for picking up luggage and driving the door. The front desk had an indifferent attitude throughout the entire process and the service was not enthusiastic. During the stay, the hotel did not proactively provide guests with services that a hotel should have such as turndown service. The person responsible for answering the hotel service phone also had a bad attitude. When the guest mentioned the need for turndown service, he mentioned the hotel's turndown service. A service that can only be enjoyed by Marriott Platinum Cards (after staying in so many Marriott hotels, this is the first time I learned that this hotel’s turndown service is only provided for Platinum Cards. I had never heard of it before. In addition to administrative treatment, the hotel Treated differently than others) and the tone of answering the phone is unfriendly, which makes the guests uncomfortable. The room showed on the Ctrip order that it was equipped with a purifier. The purifier that was delivered for the first time was very dirty. I didn’t know whether it was purifying or contaminating... The water pressure in the room fluctuated, and the toilet in the room was covered by an electric curtain, but it was not covered seamlessly. It would be a bit awkward if two people on a business trip lived together. The public lawn of the hotel. After sitting on the lawn for a while, a fat security guard came and said that entry was not allowed here, not even for hotel guests. Wedding venue, okay, I can understand if someone is setting up the venue or wedding scene that day, but why is there nothing on the lawn that day? As the only comfortable outdoor venue in the hotel, can't guests even sit down? ? Since they are not allowed to enter the hotel, why should the lawn be used as a publicity? And can there be a sign at the door not allowing entry? ! Unable to understand! In addition, the hotel has opened a cute pet park, but after looking at it, I found that two rabbits were lame... There was no water or food in the bowl. I hope the hotel will pay attention to the health of the small animals when opening the park... The day after communicating with Ctrip, the hotel's guest relations manager called and learned what had happened. He replaced the purifier and provided corresponding room service and turndown. The next day, there was also a dedicated driver downstairs at the front desk. Door and luggage (I don’t know if I will not be there on the day of check-in) Overall, the experience was not very good, but fortunately there was someone to deal with it. I would like to give a thumbs up to the hotel guest relations manager and the guy wearing glasses and a suit at the front desk! I hope the hotel’s staff management can be strengthened...

Great new hotel. Located in the first row at the beach. Wonderful infinity pool in 11th floor on the roof. But unfortunately only open from 18:00-21:00. Would be better to open it Fortbewegung whole day. The bar, connected to the infinity pool is amazing. Thanks to Danny, our great Bar manager and tender!!!! We have had really a lot of fun with you. The rooms are spacy and modern. For foreigners it would be better to have more information and e.g. menue list in English.

I had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton. The location is convenient and it’s easy to get around. The room was great and the breakfast was amazing, western and Chinese food. They also have dinner a really good dinner buffet too. The staff was also friendly and helpful. Special Thanks to Joey, the receptionist. He spoke English really well and he was really friendly and went the extra mile to make sure our stay was pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to have great time in Beidaihe.

A family of three lives here. The room is big enough and the mattress is comfortable. A 1.3-bedroom bed is more than enough for me and my child. The facilities are relatively complete and the service attitude is good. They send snacks when they see the baby. There is a library on the second floor and you can watch movies. The baby likes it. It is the May Day holiday now and the price-performance ratio is high! The intersection is opposite Qinhuangdao Station, which is close, about 1 kilometer away. It is convenient to take a taxi and travel at the intersection. There is a KFC opposite the downstairs! I heard from the locals that it is a relatively high-end hotel and is worth recommending 👍

You can swim and exercise for free, the swimming pool is very clean, and the environment is very good! Secondly, the service of the front desk staff is very thoughtful, and they asked very considerately whether they could apply for free parking by car; when checking in, they also gave me a document protection cover considerately. Although it is not a big item, it really warms me. Although the network was not very powerful when checking in, I felt that the beautiful woman who checked me in was more anxious than me, and kept saying sorry. I didn't know what to say... In the end, it was not in vain, and I was arranged such a good room. Although I don't know what the beautiful woman's name is, I really want to tell her: I was not in a hurry at that time. In short, I will stay here next time, and it always warms me!

It has amazing view of the sea, location was near from the coach. They changed towels everyday and brought new toothbrush and toilet paper, bottles of water everyday.

The hotel is quiet and clean. The service staff are very enthusiastic. The breakfast is very good. It is recommended to stay in the hotel when you come to Beidaihe for vacation. It has its own parking lot.
