Pacific Paradise Resort

We stayed at Pacific Paradise Resort as part of a group tour through Costa Rica. While it wasn’t our favorite accommodation of the trip, it certainly had its good points and provided a decent place to rest after a long travel day. The rooms were clean, spacious, and set in a lush, green environment that gave a nice tropical feel. However, one downside was the lack of a refrigerator in the room. If you wanted one, you had to pay a significant extra fee and share a small kitchenette with the neighboring room—not ideal, especially if you expected some basic private amenities. That said, the staff kindly offered to store drinks at the bar for guests, which was a helpful workaround. The pool area is large and inviting—great for a refreshing swim—but unfortunately there were too few loungers available, and several were either broken or uncomfortable. It made relaxing by the pool a bit less appealing. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and welcoming, always ready to help. Breakfast and dinner were both nicely prepared and served with care. The breakfast buffet had a decent variety, and the evening meals were flavorful and satisfying. All in all, Pacific Paradise offers a peaceful, green setting and a good level of basic comfort. With a few upgrades—like improved poolside furniture and more flexible room amenities—it could really stand out. Not a bad stay at all, and with the warm hospitality, it still managed to leave a generally pleasant impression.

I guess its OK for 1/2 nights. Overall clean and friéndly staff but property is somehow old but just the same as standard for Quepos.

Clean safe property. Rooms were so so. Shower area leaked water in to the rest of the bathroom in one of the rooms. Very helpful staff.

Overall we liked the hotel very much. Thank you. The facility is somewhat outdated from the outside (and inside, the shower room, which was not well sealed at the bottom so that water came out to the floor as we showered) so initially we were a bit worried, but the rooms are kept very clean. We booked two rooms (two twin beds each) which are connected through a kitchen, which made it very convenient for us. The best part is people working. The front desk is open 8 am-8 pm with a very nice receptionist. The people at the restaurant are also super nice. Also, the level of housekeeping was excellent. The restaurant near the pool is also very nice. Its covered outside location is very comfortable. Breakfast was included with the stay and had options of "typical food (Costa Rican breakfast)" and "continental". We had dinner there as well, and they should be proud of the quality of pizza. It is high quality and delicious. We did not use the pool but it was kept clean and lots of kids and adults were in there enjoying. If we were to have a request, the air freshener (?) or some sort of fragrance in the room was a bit strong. It may have something to do with the previous guest. It was not strong enough to give us a headache but it would have been nice to make it a bit weaker (or zero. I did not notice any hint of bad smell) Near the hotel is a chocolate tour, guided by Gregory. It is amazing.
