Stoney Creek Inn Quincy

Hear me out. There's a twist at the end. My husband and I took a weekend getaway to Quincy. Usually, we do Air BNB, but we've stayed at Stoney Creeks before and had a good experience. This one, not so much. It really had nothing to do with the hotel and service, but other guests. I had originally requested a room away from most other guests, on the top floor. Well, when doing my virtual check in, it offered an upgrade to a suite. Sweet, right? Not worth it. There was a little league tournament in town. And they were allllllllll staying here. It. Was. Awful. Our suite was on the 2nd floor, directly at the top of the stairs, right above the pool. So as the kids were trampling like elephants throughout the entire hotel, the parents were outside at the pool getting drunk, and loud. We couldn't take it anymore. The following morning, I asked the front desk if they were all leaving. Well, not all left. Some did. And more showed up to take their place. The front desk girls were so apologetic and accommodating. They agreed to move us to the 3rd floor, all the way at the end, and give a discount on the suite. We can't begin to tell you how much we appreciated this. So, to the hotel review itself. Good water pressure, decent sized room (regular king room was actually bigger than the king whirlpool suite), and breakfast was delicious. But please, for the love of all that is holy, request a room on the 3rd floor. Unless you want to be concerned your entire stay that guests above you will soon fall through the ceiling into your room. We will stay here again, I'll just make sure there are no tournaments in the area.

Stayed here during the billiards tournament in march as it was one of 3 hotels near the Oakley Lindsay center. All hotels in town were sold out so we didn't expect to be able to get a room as we did not have a reservation; however, the front desk was able to work their magic and accommodate us when we came a couple days earlier to check in than our original reservation date. The staff was extremely nice and the hotel felt welcoming and the best part was that the hotel was within walking distance of the venue.

The room was very clean, which is the most important quality to me. The air conditioner worked perfectly and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was hot, tasty and plentiful. The night clerk was friendly and accommodated all my needs. The morning clerk wasn't very friendly, was pretty busy, though she did her job in a timely manner.
