This place is either new or has been recently remodeled. The rooms are very nice, although the mattress was not very comfortable. We were very impressed by the front desk staff, especially Jon. They were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. their restaurant recommendations were very accurate. The location was very good, especially if you are going to one of the hospitals across the street. They use valet parking, although on exit we loaded the car in the back and drove ourselves out of the lot. The primary cons of the place are a fairly poor breakfast spread. There are a couple of better options for breakfast next door. Also, the pool gets little use and could use a good spring cleaning. We will be happy to return to this place. A note for people booking with ******* and other aggregators. The use of a third-party booking agent ties the hands of the front desk and they cannot solve your problems.

This is a very new hotel, right in the center of downtown St. Paul MN. It is literally across the street from the Excel Energy Center. This hotel was modern, with polished cement floors, immaculately clean, and well appropriated. The walls had oversized photos of the Minnesota state Capitol and the Cathedral of St. Paul - very cool! My room was spacious and very quiet, so I slept very well. Christian was the front desk concierge. He was friendly and professional and provided great customer service. Even the valet guys were friendly and professional. This hotel is convenient and affordable. Whomever is the GM of this place is doing a great job!

At that time, 18-year-olds were not allowed to check in. I asked the taxi from the airport to help the driver to submit the documents... It was a very social experience! The front desk service is also very good, very reasonable. The layout of the room is ok, it is a bit small. Although the window inside is only half of the wall, my room is just on one side, so there are two side windows, the view is still very good, at least you can see the light right. The environment is very quiet.

Springhill is generally one of my favorite brands for limited service hotels, but this was almost a full service experience. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel is very new, so everything is immaculate. They take security very seriously, all exterior doors are locked at all times, the elevators are key access too. There is an indoor pool on the first floor, and even a water feature for kids to play with. We needed to do a quick load of wash, and the guest laundry was up to the task in just over an hour to wash and dry ($1.50 to wash, $1.50 to dry, free soap at the Front Desk). The rooms are very comfortable, the bed was wonderful, we got a great nights sleep. My son even said the pullout sofa was very comfortable (second only to his bed at home). The Light Rail is just a few blocks away, less than a ten minute walk. There is a bar in the lobby that is open in the evenings. The breakfast options were great, and ample seating was available. For me, this was an absolute gold standard for Springhill Suites.

Beautiful historic Post-Office building next to restored St. Paul Depot train station - loved the edge of downtown location. This hotel is part of a larger building of condos and has unique rooms which are large, newly restored, clean with friendly staff and easy access to walk or drive/highways. Beautiful walk/exercise along the riverfront (when the weather is good - ha). If the streets are too quiet for you, during M-F be sure to go up into the 2nd story skyway system where there are lots of work folks on the move and food/etc. For several years now we've been happily staying in quieter St. Paul instead of Minneapolis when coming to visit friends and family in TC.

We stayed here to attend the Queen concert. Will definitely stay here again. Check in was quick and smooth. Elevators are some what slow. Note also no glasses for drinks. Just coffee cups. They also provide shuttle service to and from the Excel Energy Center. They are approximately 6 miles away from the Excel. Also, close to we’re the St. Paul Saints play. Reasonable pricing. We ate dinner at restaurant on site. A bit spending, but the food was very good. Service was slow so plan that into your schedule. The pool is heated. A big pool area.

Excellent
CcarrollkrNice hotel. Greeted by polite efficient staff. got booked in, lugged all my stuff to the second floor and the keys didn't work. I left my luggage up there and went back to the desk, got it fixed. Room is nice and clean. the walls are a bit thin. gentlemen next door was on the phone slot, assuming since I only heard one person talking. couldn't make out the conversation except for the F bombs and S word he used a lot. now I can cuss with the best of them and this did not offend me, but I can see others finding this horrible, especially if you have small children. I went to bed and I couldn't figure out how to get the curtains to be dark. the brown ones didn't move. so I tried to go to bed, but i pretended like I was in Alaska where its sunny for 6 months, I guess that gives me a reason why I live in Iowa. so I got some ingenuity and got out a spare blanket. which by the way is like sand paper, and the hangers with clips and created a makeshift room darkening blind. Then when they came to clean the room, they pulled the actual blinds that were hidden behind the sheers. now I feel really stupid! The breakfast was pretty decent eggs, sausage, pancakes, and everything else you would find on a continental breakfast. I just wish it started before 630. I work at 6, so I didnt utilize the breakfast much. I didn't take advantage of the pool or the exercise room. overall it was a good experience. i just hope they give me extra points for going green the one day. I'd stay there again, especially now that i know how to run the curtains. they have a restaurant that is attached to the hotel, but i dont think is affiliated, it was ok, but it was so convenient. Parking out front was not a problem. i was there monday to thursday.
JjeremycolgroveFront desk help was helpful for the most part. One red-headed female receptionist was not friendly and acted annoyed if u asked for something, but that was the exception to the rule. Food was excellent, nice pool and hot tub, housekeeping did a great job. Very nice place.
