Nice clean apartment, on first arrival we noticed no kettle or Iron, but we went to reception and they sent both up quite promptly,we had an issue with the lock on the balcony door, but once again after we reported it, they sent maintenance up to repair straight away. Towels were changed every morning and bins emptied, also shower gel/shampoo sachets replenished daily, bed linen was changed halfway through our stay. Nice quiet place we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony in the evening, food was nice and staff friendly, very close to everything but not too close to the noise, we never used the pool due it being shaded every time we went down, but we did use the pool over the road at the sister hotel California Gardens, which was fab, if considering booking here I would ask to be located away from the lifts, they are noisy constantly going up and down, overall we had a great stay and would definitely book again… would of been even better if they had a bit of entertainment on in the evenings, I probably wouldn’t recommend if you have young children, I can imagine they would get a bit bored. Supermarket right across the road which was helpful

Basic but lovely hotel. Great location without being on top of it all. Food good, room clean and staff extremely friendly and very helpful. The only downside (for hubby not me) was the poor WiFi connection. Other than that very reasonable for the price. On a side note the pool area was in the shade however we had access to the sister hotel across the road which was a sun trap.

You certainly get what you pay for! Tired decor, awful food, only one room key per apartment attached to a large plastic fob that had to be left on site every time you went out and, at best intermittent wi-fi. Only saving grace, the staff did lend us a router to try to improve the wi-fi (only improved signal strength slightly. Stayed two of a seven night stay before leaving. Having transferred to alternative accommodation, the TUI rep explained that it may have a three star rating but, the TUI rating is only level two.

We've just spent 2 weeks in Salou, and this was our base. Checking on on arrival was quick and easy, and off we went to our 2nd floor apartment. On entry to the apartment, we found it spacious and clean, but there was a slight smell of cigarette smoke for the first few days, but this seemed to disappear, the cleaners were in daily to change the towels and make the beds, they did seem to get annoyed if you declined the service, a simple "do not disturb" sign to hang on the door would have been handy as they just rang the bell and entered before giving you time to answer the door and would just disturb you from sleeping if you'd had a late night. The breakfast menu was much the same daily, not a lot of variation at all. Sometimes the food was cold by the time you'd got it from queuing, the evening meal menu was a little more choice but the set up wasn't the best as queuing for the salad foods was in the way of the soup starter which was in the way of some of the hot foods meant people felt you were pushing in for certain foods, but on rhe whole there was always plenty to choose from and the kitchen staff worked constantly to ensure there was plenty to serve everyone. All staff in the hotel were very pleasant and professional. There was only one gent on reception who seemed getting up from his seat to get you your keys was always an effort. The pool area was clean and sun beds available, but due to where it was, you were lucky to get any sun over the pool or whilst on a bed, so we didn't use this. You could use the sister California Gardens Hotel across the road if you wanted, which had a lot more sun on the pool area but was very busy, so it was difficult to get a bed at any time. On the whole, we enjoyed our stay, but we're not sure if Salou is somewhere we'd return too personally!

Staying a week in September and have to say the overall impression is very good. However a few minor improvements could make it better. Check in was easy and efficient. We have one of the older rooms and I would highly recommend upgrading to a refurbished one. Room is adequate but lacks some things. As others have mentioned a kettle would be useful. We have used the saucepan. No bottle opener was a major problem to us but we now buy screw top or boxed wine for the room. No coffee table to put drinks on. We have moved the balcony table inside. Not ideal but ok. I accept the hotel is not SC now so perhaps they feel these things aren’t needed. Cleaning and fresh towels have been provided daily. Can’t fault that in any way. Food in the restaurant is more than ok. As good as any other we have had. Breakfast has plenty of choice and the evening meal also. Not 5* but we haven’t paid for that. Bar area is nice and relaxed and reasonably priced. As others have said, the pool is a big let down but we have used the one across the road. All in all we are very happy with what we got for the price we paid and will return again.

So we are currently in this hotel & it’s a great location, easy check in Bruno & a Scottish guy were lovely in reception, all other staff were lovely too. Room was clean on arrival & nice & spacious. We asked for a kettle & iron on arrival & had them delivered straight away .We had a lovely big balcony but could have done with a lick of paint as it was all peeling off & looked abit tatty! Rooms were suppose to be cleaned every day but we didn’t have our room cleaned for 2 days & had to keep asking for clean towels but was sorted after we spoke to a lovely lady at reception!. Nice little pool but was always in the shade so couldn’t really lay out there & enjoy the pool! FOOD.. well we wasn’t impressed at all… very basic. Every time we went down for breakfast it was cold..couldn’t really have toast as butter was frozen solid .went for 1 evening meal & wasn’t all that ,very basic even the salad option was basic, no dressings to go over the salads only vinegar & oil.so we ate out most of the time ! Overall nice hotel with a few improvements it could be better, would stay again as it’s great location & hotel overall was lovely but wouldn’t eat here

Just back from a week with my hubby in these apartments. Trouble free check in and all staff in all areas very polite and helpful. The room was a one bedroomed apartment and was clean but very basic. The room is serviced every day and a plentiful supply of clean towels provided. There is a small kitchen area but surprisingly no kettle, so water for our early morning cuppa had to be boiled in a saucepan. There is a room safe but the lock had been punched through so could not be locked. There is an ironing board, but strangely no iron. The room is let down by the balcony. The balcony was so scruffy looking, very dusty on the ledges and looked like it had not seen a coat of paint for years. The terrace furniture is desperate to be replaced as it was the cheapest white plastic you could buy and this also needed a good clean. The dining room and food choices were excellent and the chef and his team should be congratulated for producing the amount and variety of meals at a good standard. Breakfast was choice of cereals, yoghurts, fruit, cold meats and cheeses and the usual hot items such as bacon, sausages, eggs, beans etc. Excellent choice of breads and pastries and choice of hot drinks and juices. Lunch and dinner were equally good. There is an excellent salad bar, choices of meat and fish, always a pizza, soup etc. The desert selection was the best I have experienced. Tables are cleaned quickly and efficiently. But, please put the plate warmer on so that hot food can be served off hot plates, this is a very basic catering principle. Cold food on cold plates and hot food on hot plates. Free wi-fi is advertised but it is very sporadic and I could only access it in the reception area or dining room and even then had to keep adding my log in details. Would I go back? Probably yes but minor changes could make this so much better.

Very good experience. Staff are very friendly & helpful. The pool, while a bit small, was almost completely shaded, which (being Irish) was helpful in the August sun. The breakfast & dinner buffet was always pretty good. Location was great - a short walk to the beach & right beside a good supermarket.

Travelling as a family with an 11 and 15 year old, we decided something bigger than a hotel room would be necessary. Our one bedroom apartment was perfect, the kids had the two single beds in the bedroom and we had the sofa bed (which isn't a double next to each other, it's one on the top, one on the pull out. I thought this could bother me, but it didn't as both were comfy). We were given one of the refurbished rooms, modern style kitchen and front room, decent balcony, large bathroom (no tub) and cleaned daily. There's a TV but no English channels (but that's not why you're there!). If it bothers you, take a fire stick or similar as there were USB and HDMI ports. We booked through Jet2 on a half board basis. The rep came into the hotel the day before we were due to fly home (helpful!), but there was a number to call if there were any problems. On the whole, very impressed with Jet2 and their flights/transfers (which was only about 25 minutes from Reus airport, a huge plus). The hotel staff are great, with special shout outs to the lady on reception, the Scottish man who switched seamlessly from Scot to Spanish while working with a broken arm, and the barmen who told me I could buy a bottle of wine and leave it in their fridge with our room number on it (17 euros for rose). Drinks were surprisingly reasonable, with a pint of Estrella, glass of rose wine, pepsi and pineapple juice for 9 euros. You do have to purchase drinks with your dinner (even still water at 1,30 euros). Dinner was always good quality - salad bar, soup, main dishes usually fish, vegetables, chips, pasta station, freshly grilled meats that rotate each night (pork/burgers/turkey/chicken) and the same for choice of pizza, plus a varied choice of deserts. We were really impressed with the pool. It looks tiny in the photos, but it's a decent size. We went down about 3pm each day and never had a problem getting a sunbed. By this time it's in the shade though, but you can lug your lounger to where the sun is if you want to tan. If you want more activities, hop over to the sister hotel California Gardens where they have entertainment (standard water polo, games etc) and also evening entertainment. So the location. There's a decent, large supermarket across the road with everything you'd need for self catering. You are a five minute walk from the main beach (we also like the smaller Capellans beach (face the sea on the main Llevant beach and turn left, walking about ten minutes around a board walk over the rocks) which was smaller but had pedalos to hire for 25 euros per hour. Beach beds were 8-10 euros each per day, same for the parasols. There are loads, and I mean A LOT of choices to eat out, and they generally get cheaper the further inland you go from the beach. As we were half board we only ate out twice, once in Cambrils (worth a visit, get the bus from the main strip, it was 9,60 euros one way for four, paid the driver cash) and second at Goretti's (past McDonalds on the be
