The room was pretty terrible! The curtains in the first room were broken! The front desk changed our room right away, though, so the service was okay. It seems to be run by Indians. You get what you pay for—cheap price, but terrible rooms and poor cleanliness!

There is a weird smell when you first walk into the room, have to get all the windows open and ac on for a while to get rid of smell. No room cleaning during stay, no body wash. Chit very close to downtown

The room itself was alright, clean and hygienic. However, the curtains were broken and couldn't close properly, letting in all the light. The staff said it was the last room available, so a switch wasn't possible! There's a supermarket nearby, which is convenient for shopping.

The pictures provided looked promising, but the reality was quite a letdown. I didn't see the corresponding architecture, I guess it was supposed to be the scenery of Salt Lake City. The service, however, was good. We chose this hotel for a short stay in Salt Lake City, and the kids had a great time in the pool.

The elevator is quite old, but the room has been renovated and is pretty new. There was a strange, unidentifiable smell, but it got better after opening the window to air it out. The renovated shower room is clean, but the only downside is that there's no place to put shampoo and shower gel. It was inconvenient having to reach for them from the sink while showering.

Nearby two stations for the lightrail. A little pricey, but beds were comfortable enough and the room, including bathroom, was very clean.

We stayed here both on the way to and from Yellowstone. The rooms come with a fridge, microwave, hairdryer, and coffee maker. The location is convenient for getting around, and there's a light rail station for the airport not too far away.

This was our first stay here and will keep it in mind as a more affordable option in the SLC Downtown space. In general, this is an older property that has the basics of a good place to stay. The rooms were clean and had a the larger "dorm fridge" and a microwave. The beds/bedding were VERY comfortable. Parking is free and they do allow pets for a $25 fee. (NOTE: The Trip.com site says that pets are not allowed.) The location is very good, with walking-distance access to alot of restaurants, bars, entertainment, shopping, etc. We took a $7+ Uber to/from The State Room, which is only 1/2 mile away because I just had my hip replaced. Would normally have walked. What they could do better: While they have some beautiful plants on the property, they could spruce it up a bit with some paint and deep cleaning of the concrete walkways. The lobby/front desk reminds me of a motel in a seedy location. The front desk person is behind an enclosed Plexi-Glass structure and the lobby is not somewhere to gather, as it is not kept very clean. They do not serve food at all, due to COVID-era decisions (see picture), and the presence of junk food vending machines shows that they are not concerned with that decision and will continue that non-service going forward. (TIP: Go next door to The Red Beryl restaurant in the Doubletree. Excellent food, service, and prices!) Maybe if the front desk person offered a list of nearby eating establishments to guests when they check-in, this would be a non-issue. The only room challenge was that the blackout shade roller was non-operational, requiring a more manual approach with it to cover the window. As with a lot of hotels, they charge a $100 deposit that is given back when you check out. If you use a card, that's 3-5 business days. If you use cash, it's returned immediately after they perform a cursory room look-see. The staff that served us was not pleasant or unpleasant; pretty much a business attitude.

Excellent! 1: The front desk staff were very helpful and lent me a kettle. 2: The room had heating, which made it very comfortable. 3: It was very quiet.
