Myself and my partner had an absolutely perfect stay at the Samaina Inn last week. The staff were attentive and warm, constantly working hard to ensure the establishment ran smoothly. The hotel was spotlessly clean, with cleaners working hard all day long! The food was delicious every night - with various changing options all week long. The location was perfect, we decided not to hire a car and walked everywhere we went (definitely recommend the potami waterfalls and Mikro Seitani beach) Overall it was a wonderful stay and we’d both definitely Recommend!

Had a fantastic stay here as a family in August. Staff are a credit to the hotel, so friendly and helpful. Food was always excellent, especially on Greek night, just a shame it was only once a week. Not a huge amount of sunbeds so you do need to be up early to reserve one in a prime spot, just make sure you use it as the staff will, quite rightly, remove towels that have been left for too long. Only downside is quite a long transfer from the airport by coach, a taxi might be a better option. That aside we wouldn't hesitate to return.

The best hotel experience in Greece. Lovely staff, beautiful hotel with views and greet pool. All inclusive option available. Entertainment was great and can’t say enough. Close to port and dining and shopping options.

Just got back yesterday after a two week stay two couples.beautiful hotel food excellent staff from the cleaners to the management so friendly and well presented.never waited at the bar for more then 30 seconds served by Maria with such a welcoming beautiful smile from early afternoon till late in the evening.would recommend this hotel to older couples or families with toddlers .not much for teenagers or younger couples just a nice clean relaxing environment around the hotel.sun beds the most comfortable I have ever been on.about a hour transfer from the airport .nice beach with sun beds just across the road from the hotel (no beach bar or snacks on the beach) .we already trying to book for next year.weather perfect 30 plus everyday not a cloudy day for the whole two weeks .booked with tui and there is only one flight per week on a Thursday so it’s one week or two ten or eleven nights not a option

Very friendly staff, excellent food and family feeling. This is our second year visiting this great hotel. Very very clean, serving guests with a smile and very helpful. Karlovassi is not a special town, but it is easy to rent a car and discover this very nice island. I recommend to take a walk up to the chapel on top of the close by mountain. There is a nice local restaurant . Also rent bicycle for free at the hotel and take a ride to the waterfall located 2.5 km by bicycle and 1.5 km through the path in the wood .

We had a sea view room on first floor that was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. There was a little noise from the road but this was not an issue for us. Food was excellent, always plenty of choice and varied throughout the week. Greek night was especially good. Entertainment was 3 times a week and made a nice change. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Special mention to Maria and Daniel at the bars who were excellent. We did not use the beach as it was stoney but it was popular with others. We used the pool every day. Sunbeds were saved early but we always got beds, which were very comfortable. When we arrived in Karlovasi we were unsure if we had made a good choice. However, on venturing out to the town centre for drinks, and up to the beautiful church high above town, where we found a great, traditional tavernas where we ate and it was excellent, we were happy. We also walked to Potami to see the church, beach and waterfalls. We did the TUI boat trip from Pythagoria which was good value and a fun day.

Very bad service especially on beach. Rude staff who can't handle clients. There no reason to visit for the beach. We wait 40 minutes for 2 coffees and they don't serve water with the coffee. I will not visit this again

General things 1. Wifi is VERY BAD in the hotel rooms, at the pool side you don‘t even have any connection. Wifi works only in the lobby 2. When we arrived there we found two cockroaches in our bathroom 💀 3. The Gym is ass, the few equipment is very old and also quite nasty (there are stains) Our so called „all inclusive experience“ we booked the hotel with all inclusive but its NOT WORTH it! 1. You can get free drinks at the pool bar with all inclusive but the drinks are VERY VERY BAD. They don‘t mix their cocktails by themselves, a machine does it for them. The Pina colada tastet straight up like dog water. There is also a real bar inside the hotel where you get some real nice drinks but you have to PAY EXTRA for them. Which is a scam in my opinion. Also you can‘t normal espresso at the pool bar. You have to pay for it at the real bar inside. 2. All activities are included and you can attend them all but it‘s not very that special. In general at night time the hotel is boring and quiet. 3. We thought with all inclusive you can order or get food whenever you like. But that was not the case. You always have to wait until its lunch and dinner time. Or else the hotel restaurant is closed. Food was okay but the staff was really nice Still don‘t go there you‘re also in Karlovassi, and Karlovassi is dead 💀 at night and even in the weekends. Its very boring there and everything is quite far away

We had a great stay at the Semaina. Welcomed and met by the lovely Brenda on arrival at reception who was super helpful throughout our stay. Also thanks to Georgia in the reservations office who noted that it was our anniversary and there was a bottle of wine and note in the room. The hotel is really spotless there is a lady who literally cleans all areas ALL DAY! The rooms have been refurbed and are clean (thank you to our lovely room lady Effi) and the beds are quite comfortable! A huge plus for Greece! Rooms are quiet and you can’t hear next door! Wi-Fi is generally good. The restaurant is headed up by Maitre D Thanassis Panousos and his team of lovely staff - especially Filiou. The food is superb, changes each day and they catered for me (vegetarian and gluten free - it helps if you advise the hotel prior to arrival). Location is great, close to the port for day trips to Fourni/ Ikaria etc both beautiful islands. You can walk into town in 25 minutes and sit in one of the trendy cafes for a Greek frappe coffee and a piece of Baclava. There aren’t many traditional tavernas. But we hired a car for a few days to tour the island (Balos was our favourite beach) . Bike hire is free and its easy to cycle to local beach and then walk up to the waterfall (dont forget to take costumes if you want to swim to the next stages - water is freezing though! There is a cafe up some v steep precarious steps if you want some adventure too!) There is also an amazing funky sunset Buddha-bar called Amundo run by the fabulous Maria who does great G&T’s! We went every night we were there. Beach beds & sun parasol are chargeable but worth it. Entertainment every other night is ok.. If its your first visit to Samos then i would récemment the island tour with Tui as you see the island at least..and venture over to the islands as well (we stayed on Fourni which is traditional, full of charm. Paleo is a village close to the hotel, its a long walk or a drive up to the village square then walk to the church, incredible views over the bay and Karlovassi. If you want some relaxation there is a spa close by (opposite the Semaina Mare hotel)
