Doryssa Theorem Hotel
"A wonderful hotel with perfect renovation and excellent service and a delicious varied breakfast. In a quiet place, but two steps from the pier (which was important for us, as we arrived by ferry from Turkey) and the embankment with taverns and the beach. All the staff are very friendly. We will be happy to come again."
Nepheli
"Dirty! We should have left from the first moment and called the health department! Shame on our country! We stayed with my family from 20/07/23 to 25/07/23 by necessity after I had booked it with social tourism vouchers! We had planned to stay (before we went) another three days! I will only refer to our rooms! We didn't expect luxuries! Didn't we mind the small old-fashioned TV that didn't catch any channels or rust on the water heater but the phone in the shower and the short curtain in the bathroom that were yellowed by the passage of time? or /and/ the lera? On the balcony, ropes for hanging clothes and 3 clothes pegs! The small table and the plastic chairs for the balcony were on top of a wardrobe and they also needed cleaning! They changed our towels when the 5 days that were paid for by our cashier were now over and bearing in mind that we would stay another 3 days at our own expense! When we were leaving (and after he asked us for the legal sanction to cancel the reservation) we told him about the above (complaints) he told us that we had to tell each other from the first day to give us other rooms! In other words, he had more clearly, but he gave them selectively? We have been going every year for 15 years on vacations with and without social tourism and we have never encountered anything like this before! I am amazed at the good comments that some have written!"
Doryssa Lithos Hotel
"Lovely hotel, very modern. Room and bathroom very comfortable, lovely sea views. Included breakfast very tasty and varied, by the pool. Lovely pool. Excellent gym - really well equipped! 12 min walk to the port and beach. Cannot be faulted!"
Virginia Hotel
"Family owned hotel! The staff are so nice, welcoming and helpful! Made us feel very comfortable. Breakfast lady was very passionate about making food the way we liked it. She frequently asked to know our allergies and what veggies we disliked, then proceeded to make changes to the foods so that it matched our tastes. She said “well it’s a small hotel, so i might as-well serve you some food you’d like to eat”. It was such a nice and welcoming gesture. Cleaning maids were sweet and positive too. Rooms and halls felt very clean. We’ll be returning to Samos again, and we’ll be staying at the Virginia hotel. 10/10. Best experience for the price you will get."
Doryssa Boutique Hotel
"Great hotel! Staff was friendly and accommodating for my In laws needs. Very nice breakfast. Just recommend having a car to go to town since walking is a bit far but everything else perfect. "
So Nice Hotel
"Unfortunately, I have to leave a negative review for my experience at the mini club. I found two of the entertainers to be truly unprofessional: Kristel, the children's director, was unfriendly and lacked empathy for the children and parents, while Mirko seemed incompetent to manage the activities. Furthermore, I perceived some discriminatory behavior, which really bothered me. I believe an entertainer should be able to treat everyone with respect, which unfortunately was lacking here. I do not recommend the mini club service at this facility."
Aegeon Hotel
"In kalovassiprima stay Within walking distance of a nice square Hotel itself is fine, not exceptional Rooms clean Beds reasonably good Very noisy between rooms in the bathroom (literally) Cleaning top Breakfast simple but fine An extra plus is the swimming pool and the staff at the pool bar! - compliments !! The reception at the reception is very distant, not so friendly"
Hydrele Beach Hotel & Village
"This is a great hotel. The service at the front desk is very good and patient. There is a beautiful woman who can speak Chinese."
Semeli
"What a service, a most pleasant welcome, always attentive, kindness, service and responsiveness are their watchwords. Pure pleasure... A fantastic breakfast, with an à la carte service at no extra charge and unlimited Nespresso without complaint, always with great service. A small request, and presto it's settled directly without you having to notice it. Beaches nearby and restaurant really close."

Samos Bay Hotel by Gagou Beach
"I chose this hotel because of the breakfast and sunbeds at the pictures of ***********. When we arrived we learnt that hotel doesn’t have sunbeds anymore, there’s a misleading information at the ***********!!! Also there’s smell of sewage. Room is old, bottom of the bathroom sink is damaged. There were no soap in the room when we arrived. I’m really disappointed by this hotel and *********** for misleading info about this hotel. Moreover the clothing rack for bathing suits is broken. It’s a shame this hotel is being still advertised. Breakfast was awful. No smiling faces at the reception. Although I warned *********** of misleading information about sunbeds at their website on August 28, they're still keeping those photos as of today(September 7, 2023). I wrote hotel's condition while we were there but they replied "no compensation could be provided". I didn't ask for compensation!!! I wrote about misleading information. They turned blind eye. "
Armonia Bay Hotel
"My sister and I had the absolute pleasure of staying in the Armonia for a week and it definitely ticked all the boxes. From the moment you arrive you immediately relax…the incredible view, hotel ambience and very welcoming staff ensure your checkin experience is positive. Our rooms were nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. We were very impressed with the restaurant…breakfasts were delicious and the lunch/dinner choices are all great. Admittedly the lunch/dinner menus are quite limited (as you would expect from a small hotel) but there are many restaurants nearby to experience. We found the tranquil location to be perfect and having a car allowed us to explore the island. The pool is fabulous but if you feel like a dip in the ocean, it is only a few minute walk to a lovely beach with beach club. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and very happy to meet all our needs. I can highly recommend this family owned hotel and would absolutely return in a heartbeat. Thanks Alex, Helene and Marius for an unforgettable week."
Aphrodite Samos Suites
"Fantastic stay - the team are all so welcoming and friendly, they can’t do enough for their guests. It has a real family run feel to it. The breakfast is lovely, and the owner makes fantastic breakfast pastries regularly - sitting out under the olive trees listening to the local nature whilst eating breakfast has been wonderful. Samos is the most relaxing place we have visited, so peaceful & this apartments really allow you to enjoy that, location is also great - it’s towards the end of the row of tavernas and shops etc so you don’t get any noise but still extremely close and only a minute walk out of the hotel grounds to get to a lovely mini market and bar. The beach is also at the entrance to the hotel and easily accessible with sunbeds and pool bar service throughout the day. The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained and the views out to sea are lovely. The view at the back of the apartments is also incredible - every time we walked up to our room all you can see is mt Kerkis and the views surrounding it. The welcoming at the hotel (and in kampos in general) from all has been fantastic and we are already looking to book for the near future to return. Thank you for a fantastic stay."
Kalidon Beach Hotel
"Friendly and spotlessly clean hotel. Perfect stay in the centre of Kokkari. Boutique feel to the decor. Rooms were small but well equipped for storage and also free air con. Breakfast was just right. We visited the sister hotel and used the pool and bar, which was very good but preferred the Kalidon Beach hotel for its proximity to the town/beach."
Proteas Blu Resort
"Very nice place to stay, there is great food, lovely greek wines, very friendly staff. Special thanks to Philippos and his great team! Rooms with beautiful view and very clean. Bathroom could use an update but is ok. Gardens and pool are wonderful."
Hotel Ledra
"This is a great apartment. We booked directly and received an upgrade to a large 3-person apartment with a nice spacious balcony. Thanks to the large tree in front of us, we were able to enjoy breakfast outside on our balcony (in the shade!). We found the bathroom and shower very cramped to be a disadvantage. We had rented a car for the entire holiday, so we often left early and returned late. The owners are very friendly and provide good service. We did get the feeling that they expected more from us in terms of presence at the apartment (swimming pool, BBQ, bar, etc.). Not that they were pushy, but they said several times that they never saw us. No problem for us, we just had a chat regularly and went our own way. The location is excellent, about a 15-minute walk to the center. Good to do. Votsalakia has a beautiful, large, long beach where there is always room, no matter how busy it is. Lots of nice restaurants and coffee bars. Very pleasant place where the hectic pace of tourism has not yet fully hit."
Ino Hotel & Suites
"Absolutely fantastic hotel! Everything was spotless and exceptionally well looked after, with stunning views that made our stay even more special. The attention to detail was outstanding, and it was clear that great care is taken to maintain the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to return. Highly recommended! A special mention has to go to the staff – they are the true stars of this hotel. If you stay here, make sure you find Odysseas! He genuinely made our stay unforgettable. His local knowledge, thoughtful recommendations, and ability to find the perfect solution for anything we needed were simply outstanding. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him, and he always went above and beyond with a smile. The level of service he provided was exceptional. Odysseas, we absolutely loved meeting you, and we'll definitely be coming back – not just for the hotel, but for you too!"
Doryssa Seaside Resort
"We stayed here for 7 nights in a deluxe room in the main building with a garden view. The room was nice and just as pictured - clean, modern, and comfortable. However, a few details were disappointing: no kettle, only a small coffee machine with four pods for the entire stay, and neither coffee nor water was replenished. Clean towels everyday but no bed linen changed. The biggest issue was how overcrowded the hotel felt. By 9am, most sunbeds were taken - many reserved even earlier. The breakfast area was chaotic, with limited options and no fresh juices. The overall atmosphere fell far short of what we’d expect from a 5 star hotel. The beach was packed, with frequent low flying planes. Food there was average and overpriced. Cocktails from the bar were poorly made. We ended up renting a car and exploring the island and nearby beaches, using the hotel mostly to sleep and shower. Disappointing, especially given the premium price. This resort might suit families with kids (there were a lot) but for couples or those seeking peace and quiet, it doesn’t live up to its 5 star rating."
Casa Cook Samos - Adults Only
"We could not accommodate due to reasons beyond my control. A hotel that is not customer oriented. They did not respond to any of my emails. They made no effort to alleviate our suffering."
Samian Mare Hotel, Suites & Spa
"Samian Mare We stayed next door in the Erato (I have reviewed this separately), but it is part of Samian Mare Hotel. Everything we used, food, drink, entertainment etc we had to go to Samian Mare Hotel which is literally next door. Can’t comment on the hotel per se as we didn’t stay there but can only comment on the parts of Samian Mare we did use. Food We ate each day at the Samian Mare as part of our all-inclusive package. Apparently they will prepare a food basket to take with you if you’re going out for the day. Lovely selection for breakfast, hot and cold, salads, meats, cheese, couldn’t fault it. Such a full selection for lunch, something for everyone I felt. Presented nicely and replenish with frequency. Evening Meal, again couldn’t fault it, fantastic selection of tasty cuisine. Snacks apparently, but we didn’t see any. Ice cream, which wasn’t best quality was only available 16.00-17.00. The none smoking areas outside were very small. That area needs to be extended and separate from the smokers, it was horrible. The buffet area was inside and out (out had plenty of shade). The tiles were like ice once wet and after a bit of rain one day, I slipped even though I had rubber shoes on. Drinks, Tea/coffee (if you wanted decent premium coffee, you had to pay for it) If you want real orange juice, again you have to pay for this. Beers were all day suppa’s but drinkable, white/red local wine, quite nice and again drinkable. Cocktails made with local spirits, which were not my taste. Premium spirits again payable, not really all inclusive. Entertainment Only stayed one evening, traditional Greek Dancing and it was really good and fun. Not a lot is happening in the evening. Many guests playing cards sitting around the bar area. We walked around most evenings. Bus transfer from the airport can take 1.30-2 hours as it’s the last hotel stop. Get a private transfer, takes about 30 minutes. Pool The pool was just so crowed, even though it didn’t open until 10am. The pool had to be shared by guests staying at Erato. The beds were always occupied, not enough of them, not enough umbrellas. No anti slip matting around the pool and the tiles were like ice once wet. There was a toilet down a few steps, again, so dangerous once wet and of course these were wet all day. We spent our time on the beach. No men’s swim shorts allowed, men must wear a t-shirt in the buffet area although women were going to the buffet in inappropriate dress, seemed a bit unfair I felt. All in all, loved the part of Samos (Karvolassi) where we stayed (northwestern coast) but it was a very quiet resort."
Nafsika Sea View Apartments
"I feel truly blessed🫶🏻🤩 It’s such a relaxing and lovely place. It’s a bit of the grid so you need a car and must be ok with driving up and down step road. The people that work here are so friendly and informative. Truly worth 5 star rating🫶🏻 The view and closeness the to water is so relaxing for the soul and heart💗 If I ever come back to Samos THIS is the place I want to live🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟"
Samaina Port Hotel
"Beautiful family, quiet holidays in this small hotel, just in front of the Port of Karlovasi,in Samos. Easy to visit from there all the beaches and attractions of Samos island. Restaurants and so many people around, but apparently good isolation,so not noise inside. Very helpful and kind stuff! I enjoyed every morning my coffee in the veranda (lucky to have booked sea view rooms)just admiring the beauty of the sea in front of me.Unforgettable breakfast at the cafeteria just beside the hotel,I want forget the pies… Absolutely recommended! We will definitely return back."
Samaina Inn
"We stayed for 2 weeks at the end of May and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff are very friendly and hard working. This is the cleanest hotel we have stayed in. Food in the restaurant was great, especially the traditional greek dishes. We like hiking and there are lots of walks available in the area with amazing views. There are plenty of bars/restaurants near the hotel and the town centre is a 20 minute walk or short taxi ride. Lots of different nationalities staying in the hotel which was nice. Thank you Samaina."
Erato by Samian Mare
"Erato We arrived quite late in the afternoon and we were kept a proper hot meal which was so lovely and very welcome. Beautiful 24-hour hotel, very modern, welcoming and spotlessly clean. There is a seating area at the back of the hotel, it’s totally enclosed. We never saw anyone using that area, we overlooked it from our bedroom. The Erato isa completely separate building to Samian Mare which is only a hop, skip and a jump away. The only thing at Erato was a roof top restaurant where you could watch a beautiful sunset whilst eating your meal, but you had to pay for this unfortunately. All the all-inclusive facilities that you enjoyed on your holiday food/drink/entertainment/pool, were next door at the Samian Mare. We paid Greek Tax on our arrival which is an extra cost to factor in 10 euros per day. The Erato had 2 lifts (one a bit dodgy wasn't opening properly) or stairs if you prefer. Large TV in reception to watch the world cup, which a lot of guests were. Lots of comfy chairs and sofas. Bedrooms Towels are changed every second day as long as you leave them on the shower floor. Bedding is also changed every 2 days. Housekeeping were super-efficient and very helpful. Fridge, Aircon which is ultra-modern and very efficient, safe. Our room was lovely and big, I think it was a family room as it had an interconnecting door to the next room and a large sofa bed. The ensuite is comprised of partitions of frosted coloured glass. Separate shower, static overhead shower head with separate hand held shower. Separate toilet. Toiletries’ provided shampoo only/shower gel/hand soap. Hopefully you're sharing with someone you know very well as there's very little privacy. The sink was in the bedroom which is bizarre. Once in the shower there’s nowhere to hang your towel, but there is a large gap over the door, so we used that. Tea and coffee provided (instant) little milk sachets, we took milk from the buffet. Bottle of water in fridge first day, and you could refill this bottle free in reception as it’s encouraged not to buy lots of plastic. We had a room at the back of the hotel; our room literally had no view just looked onto bamboo but it was very quiet and our room didn't get hot. No where to hang wet costumes on the balcony which I feel is quite important. 2 chairs and a small table on a nice size private balcony. You can rent pool towels for 10 euros which you get back once returned. Towels can be exchanged every 2 days. Beach Literally across the road is a pebbly beach, right next to the harbour, take water shoes. Water was very cold but lots of people in the water, quite shallow quite a way out. Sunbeds and umbrellas free if you’re staying at Erato or Samian Mare. Small changing cubicle and separate shower. No toilets, but you could go back to the hotel, was a bit of a pain to be honest. You can bring drinks down to the beach from the pool bar at Samian Mare but there is no service from the hotel to the beach. There i"
