We loved our time at the Inns at the Canyons! The breakfasts were lovely and filling, the jacuzzi was piping hot and our room was clean and spacious. This hotel accommodated our needs incredibly well and we won’t hesitate to stay here again the next time we are in Monticello. This is the nicest hotel in town, hands down! On a personal note, my wife and I want to recognize and thank Don, the evening front desk manager. His empathy and kindness and cheerful disposition made a lasting impact. He went above and beyond, on multiple occasions, to let us know we were valued and appreciated guests. Our stay at the Inns at the Canyon was made particularly wonderful because of Don. We still smile when we remember him and have even shared with others how helpful and kind he was. As far as my wife and I are concerned, Don made us lifelong fans of the “Inn at the Canyons”, and we think he deserves a raise!

When I stayed at the hotel, I found that the lock of the box was broken and could not be opened. Later, the front desk attendant provided tools to help solve it. It is. The rooms are also very clean and offer breakfast and cost-effective.

This was the cleanest place we stayed so far this trip. Everything was sparkling. There were ample towels as well. It was quite roomy for the price. All the things I want: ironing board and iron in case I would want to get my good clothes out of the suitcase, fridge and microwave and wee coffee maker. I slept like a baby. I would definitely recommend this one.

The hotel is obviously in need of some updating. There was nothing else available in town - and we only needed one night. I was suprised when entering the room- even though it’s old and needs some TLC the room was clean and the bed was comfy. BUT- After checking out I arrived at home 5.5 hrs later. I then Realized I left a sentimental necklace in the room- I have called 3 times and of course I am told it wasn’t found and I should check my luggage again!!! I know it’s my own fault- but, I guarantee if it was just a pillow they would have found it!! For this reason I will NEVER stay at a Rodeway again!! I thought honesty was the best policy!!

Blanding is a great jumping off point for many local sights the Newspaper Rock archaeological site, Bluff, Gooseneck State Park, Valley of the Gods, Edge of the Cedars State Park.

What a beautiful spot in the middle of nowhere! The drive in through Monument Valley was breathtaking. The staff at check-in was extremely friendly and helpful and the room was clean and lovely. We loved the river view and walked down for some pictures. We had breakfast at the restaurant next door and it was good. The seasonal fresh fruit was the best I’ve had anywhere! The only reason for a 4 and not a 5 was that we had a funky bathroom door. It drug on the floor and was very difficult to close. Not a huge deal, just a bit inconvenient. We highly recommend the San Juan Inn!

We had a room with double queen beds. a desk & chair, and a lounge chair. the room was spacious. we had a small refrigerator with a freezer section. the bathroom was also a good size. the staff was all very nice and helpful. There is very nice outdoor seating with Mountain Views outside and behind the pool area. I don’t enjoy indoor pools so we did not use this amenity. The exercise room is small but adequate. The view from the room is over the parking lot so not ideal. The room does not have a microwave so you do not have the option to bring dinner to heat & eat. If I return I would try a cottage as they looked very nice (from the outside) and there are some good reviews of them.
