Tru by Hilton Savannah Midtown

Very quiet and clean. Friendly staff. Loved the room amenities. Very comfortable bed and super soft sheets.

Very expensive for no reason

It was a very new and clean hotel

First time staying at a Tru hotel. A lot of positives and a couple of disappointments. Overall the hotel was great. The market and its many offerings was fantastic, kept me from having to find a store for some drinks to keep in my room. The hot breakfast was cold. I missed being at a hotel with a pool. My room was near the parking lot and it was noisy. The room was clean, had everything I needed. Loved the lemon soaps. Staff was great and friendly. A lot of people seemed to be enjoying the games and pool table. I'd stay again but probably make different breakfast plans.

The thermostat in the room on the wall did not work. No matter where you slid the sliders it would not change the set temperature. So could adjust the temperature. The card fell between the seating in the breakfast area and I had to pull the bench apart to get it. I would recommend they clean there more often.

Property is near shopping and dining. I’ve stayed nearby before but this was my first time at this hotel property. Chose for the brand but was disappointed. Shower was a little grimy and television would not turn on. There was a man laying across a lobby bench when I checked in. Staff at check in was very friendly. Staff at checkout was indifferent and nonchalant when told about the television not working. Won’t stay here again.

We stayed for 5 nights. Not once were were given clean sheets or towels or any housekeeping services at all. We asked twice at the front desk only to hear…the staff took off for Christmas and are behind. The advertised breakfast has cereals and oatmeal but no milk. I asked on our 4th morning for milk and the grumpy staff just shook her head no and walked away. At checkout I asked about the breakfast in general and was told “they ran out!” I asked if they could not get some from a store and was told for financial reasons no they couldn’t get milk. How can you offer a service, accept money for a stay and not gave enough money for milk. And no fruit either. We’ve stayed at Tru before in NYC. At least you have an ice machine and a microwave. The gym was “under maintenance!” The only ice machine was broken and they tried to compensate by offering during the breakfasts only a tabletop home ice machine. I know this is corporate America but come in now…keep your guests in mind when offering a service you can live up to. I would not recommend Tru to anyone.
