Hotel Kukdo

The room was quiet, and the hotel is very close to Seoul's business district. The Incheon Airport bus stops right in front of the hotel, and it's only a 100-meter walk to Euljiro 4(sa)-ga Station (Exit 10) on the subway. Myeongdong is also very close by.

The hotel's facilities are decent, and the location is good, about 1.3 km from Myeongdong. There's a subway station nearby and a bus stop right outside. What I was most unhappy about was the thin older man at the front desk. His attitude was really stiff. After I checked out, I bought some fried chicken outside and wanted to sit on the lobby sofa to eat it, but he wouldn't let me. I told him I'd clean up after myself and take the trash with me, but he just said NO! What's the problem with me eating fried chicken in a corner? If he's worried about food smells, then why isn't he worried about the open-plan restaurant right next to the front desk!

I've stayed here many times, but this time I realized it's a bit of a walk to Myeongdong, which I never noticed before. The staff are all very friendly, but something funny happened on the morning of August 18th: two staff members were having a very loud argument in the breakfast room, and when more staff arrived, they actually started arguing even more intensely.

Taking the 6015 bus from Incheon Airport T1 is super convenient as it drops you right at the hotel entrance. For the return trip, you can catch the bus from the same stop, it's a loop service back to the airport. The hotel is also very close to the subway, which is a big plus. We booked a total of five nights, with four nights in one room and the other night separately. Both rooms were identical. They were spacious enough, and the toiletries were complete, though the slippers were a bit thin. The toilet's refilling sound was a bit loud, and I didn't like that the bathroom exhaust fan couldn't be turned off. The pillow situation was a bit awkward too, with one low pillow and two high ones. On the positive side, all the staff members were numerous and very diligent.

The hotel's biggest plus is its excellent location, being very close to both the subway and bus stations. It's also about a 20-minute walk to Myeongdong, and there's a convenience store on the ground floor, which is super convenient.

Highly recommended! It's a triple room with excellent beds, perfect for families with children. It's quiet, the beds are super comfortable, and the hotel is very clean. There's also a convenience store downstairs and a subway entrance right outside, making travel incredibly convenient.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the subway and bus stops. You can easily walk to the Hanok village near Changdeokgung Palace, and Gwangjang Market is also very nearby. At the eastern end of the market, there are fruit shops, so you can really indulge in fresh fruit. Downstairs, there's a supermarket that seems to be open all the time, so no matter how late you come back, you can always find something to buy. We were given a room facing north, which offered fantastic views of the mountains and the palace. The bed in the room was large, and there were no strange odors, making it perfect for a family trip.

Check-in took forever; they initially claimed our reservation didn't exist, even after seeing our passports. It was only after showing them the Ctrip order that they acknowledged it. We asked for rooms on the same floor, but that wasn't possible. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the heart of Myeongdong but close to Chungmuro. There's a 24-hour self-service laundromat (ECO) in the alley across from the hotel. There's an airport bus stop right outside for Incheon Airport, which is super convenient.
