Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel on the Bund Reviews

We booked a big room with three beds for a group of 4. The room was really spacious, toilet was also clean and big with a bathtub and showering area. There was also a gym and swimming pool available. Subway train station is just opposite the hotel and Yu Garden is about 5 mins walk away. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again

Good location very near to Yuyuan Garden. Metro station is nearby. Hotel is a little dated but otherwise clean. Staff are increadibly helpful and professional. There was construction nearby during my stay and can be noisy at times. Construction activities usually goes on 24 hours. Nontheless, it is highly recommended.

The room is clean. Good location near Yu yuan Garden. Metro line 14 is opposite the hotel.

Room was clean and quiet. Temperature was fine. We experienced a strange noise in the air conditioning unit overnight but the hotel fixed it the next day. We had to pay a premium for 2 x adults and 2 x children, it seems difficult to get a family room for 2 children in China, which is frustrating and costly. Room only had one smoke hood despite being advertised as a family room. Hotel was clean throughout and quiet. Breakfast had a wide array of options and good coffee. However, some of the food, such as eggs, was on the cold side as it was pre-cooked and left out on warming trays. The pool and hot tub were in a far worse condition than the photos on the website suggest, the hot tub didn’t work and the poolside area was cluttered and has rust around it. The pool could do with a renovation. Location was good for the Bund and metro.

Five stars. Check all the boxes! Subway very close. It’s a bit old and close to needing wa one updates and maintenance. For example the top floor pool showed signs of rust. But it is a big pool. Whirlpool power was low and not very hot.

Great experience, great location. Breakfast is really good. Staff went out of their way to help us, especially Tim at the navigator desk who helped me get train tickets when I couldn’t get it to work. Went above and beyond

Location is good, near to Cheng Huang Miao, next to the Cheng Huang Miao mall. Just cross the road is Yuyuan train station. Breakfast choice is quite good too. Staying for 3 nights, everything is quite ok, except for the last night, there was a loud knock on the door around 12+ midnight, not too sure what happen, maybe someone knock on the door wrongly.

The room is big and comfortable for 4 adults. Breakfast spread is good, especially the western selection. Location is super good (walking distance to yu yuan) and mrt exit.

Good location, 5mins by walk to Yuyuan garden and food markets. 20 mins walk to The Bund and Nanjing Road. Hotel room is nice and clean.
