Great place! The room was spacious and the facilities were good. The front desk service was excellent too. Most importantly, the location is unbeatable. I'd definitely choose this place again next time I visit.

Joyous Hotel offers very good value for its location in Shanghai, especially for a short stay or for travelers carrying luggage. It is very conveniently located near the subway, with only one stop from the railway station and a short walk of around 100 meters. It is also close to the bars and restaurants of the French Concession. The staff were extremely kind, helpful, and welcoming. They assisted me with my luggage and gave me useful advice about traveling to Pudong Airport by subway or taxi. I mistakenly booked a room without a window, so I cannot blame the hotel for that. However, the room felt poorly ventilated, and the air was not very fresh. The staff placed two air purifiers in the room, which helped improve the situation. The room was small and not as clean as I normally expect. I also found the photos slightly misleading. They create the impression of a much larger hotel with a spacious lobby, while in reality, the entrance has several steps, the elevator is narrow, and the hotel seems to occupy mainly one floor. Considering the price and the excellent location, I understand why the hotel receives such high ratings. It is a practical and affordable choice for students, budget travelers, or anyone staying for one night and prioritizing convenience. Overall, my stay was acceptable, and the staff were excellent. However, I would probably not choose it again because I now prefer larger rooms, windows, better ventilation, higher cleanliness standards, and more facilities such as breakfast.

Convenient location right across exit 8 of Jingan metro station. All rooms are located on 2nd floor, there is a lift but have to bring luggage up a short flight of stairs (8-10 steps) before reaching lift lobby. Room is clean with basic common facilities

My daughter had an art exam nearby, so we booked a hotel in the area. For a hotel near Julu Road, the price was excellent and offered great value for money. Thumbs up!

The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient access to transportation, right next to the subway. There are plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next visit. Hopefully, the room cleaning speed improves.

First off, the subway access is super convenient. It's right outside Exit 8 of Jing'an Temple station, really easy to find. Second, the room size exceeded my expectations. It was spacious with high ceilings, so it didn't feel cramped at all. We booked the 2.4-meter king bed, which was perfect for staying with our child. The front desk staff even proactively offered kids' slippers and toothbrushes when they saw we had a child. Best of all, the hotel has a key card access system, so you need to swipe your card to enter, which makes it feel very secure. Plus, it's located right at the beginning of Fumin Road and Julu Road, which is a very popular citywalk route.

Great location! It's right across the street from the subway exit. There's a Little Elephant supermarket and Cotti Coffee downstairs, and it's super convenient to get to all the major attractions and Jing'an Temple.

The hotel's location is a bit closer to Line 7, but if you're taking Line 14, you'll have to walk a bit within Jing'an Temple Station. The room size is quite small; it's enough for an overnight layover, but it might feel cramped if you plan to stay for several days. The provision of yukata is a nice touch.

Arrived in Shanghai early and had a quick rest. The location is excellent, right across the street from the subway station, and the area is very convenient. The hotel itself is very basic.

We had a very nice few days staying here while the kids were attending a Chinese camp in the nearby SOHO building. The location was very convenient, and everything we needed was within walking distance. The reception staff were very friendly, welcoming, and always helpful, especially when we needed assistance ordering something late at night or finding a nearby place. Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay.

The environment was terrible, the pillows were moldy~ And the towels weren't changed, I had to use my own disposable items~

My experience at the Hilon Select Hotel Jing'an Temple store was great! It's right next to Jing'an Temple subway station, which makes getting to Nanjing Road and Jing'an Kerry Centre super convenient. The location is absolutely fantastic. The room was clean and tidy, with a sophisticated, light luxury decor that felt very high-quality. The premium bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom amenities were a thoughtful touch. The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and efficient, going above and beyond to be helpful. Excellent value for money!
