Lake Toya Tsuruga Resort Hikarinouta

I chose Japan for my first overseas trip after the epidemic. Going to Hokkaido at this time, firstly, the snow has not completely melted, and it is very pleasant to soak in a hot spring; secondly, the cherry blossom season in Hokkaido is not so early, so there are not so many tourists coming to travel. I chose this hotel because of the big brand of Tsuruga, which is trustworthy. Although Tsuruga does not have a first-line lake view in Lake Toya like other hotels in the surrounding area, it is small and quiet. Booked the East Building Hot Spring and Western-style room to enjoy the freedom of hot spring. The opening hours of the hotel's large hot spring pool are from 15:00 in the afternoon to 11:00 the next day. According to the Japanese habit of two baths a day, this time period is enough. The large hot spring pool is also combined with a Finnish sauna. Because we have our own private hot spring in the room, we did not go to the large hot spring pool this time. I asked the waiter what the difference is between the East Building and the West Building. It turns out that the East Building is a little newer than the West Building, and there are very few hot spring rooms in the West Building. The toiletries in the room are all available, as well as gels and lotions for men. The hotel offers a one night, two meals option. We stayed for two nights and chose a French set menu for one night and a Japanese set menu for the other night. Breakfast was a combination of a main course and a semi-buffet. The main course was also a choice between French and Japanese. There were also six freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices for breakfast, some for high blood pressure, diabetes, and healthy fat loss. The hotel was very attentive in this regard. I tried all six in two days and they all tasted good. I will choose Tsuruga again when I come to Lake Toya next time!

Very recently, I could see the beautiful Lake Toya every day when I woke up.

The facilities are very new and the environment is good. There are Japanese and Western food available. Be sure to choose Japanese food!

The transportation in Lake Toya is very inconvenient, and the hotel’s shuttle bus also leaves at a fixed time. More suitable for self-driving, otherwise the price of taking a taxi is really outrageous The scenery is not bad, but there is no need to come here specially All the facilities of the hotel are very good, and the two meals provided are delicious, but they are actually included in the room rate, because if you don't eat in the hotel there, there is nothing next to it...

The hotel is beautiful and has a great sense of design. The utmost attention to detail. The service was super good, the room was clean and tidy and very comfortable. There are buses and shuttle vehicles, so you can travel by public transportation without chartering a bus. French food and kaiseki cuisine are both delicious. Highly recommended, I will choose this hotel next time. But those who want a full lake view should not choose this option, because the room is still a short distance away from the lake, giving it a distant view. The snow scene in winter is so stunning.
