Truly exceptional stay. We couldn’t fault this lovely guest house. From the rooms to the grounds & most delicious breakfast. Fiona was a terrific host, you really felt comfortable & at home here. Lots of very nice touches. Great coffee which was available all day & some lovely home baking you could help yourself to. Fresh milk in the mini bar which I always appreciate. The room was spacious & as we were ground floor we had a lovely sunny terrace to enjoy. The bathroom had excellent toiletries & was pristine. Breakfast was really delicious. Cooked to order, great choices & a lovely home made granola pot to start. The pool area was very relaxing & to see the resident bunny Bugs meandering around was very nice. All in all our stay was wonderful. Summerwood will definitely be my 1st choice when we visit Stellenbosch again.

We loved everything about our stay. Great location and in a really quiet road. The entire house is immaculate and very comfortable. Fiona was amazing and always around to offer advice and help with other bookings. Breakfast also excellent with a good choice of options. The outdoor space and the pool also great and we particularly liked the rabbits in the garden. We have booked to stay again this November and really looking forward to returning.

Our new all time favourite! A beautiful house. It is clear that a lot of thought and effort has gone into ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction - many small greatly appreciated details. The room was spacious, well decorated and comfortable. Everything in working condition and perfectly clean. Plenty of fresh towels in the spacious bathroom and good quality soap etc. Fiona is a wonderful host that leads a kind and considerate team. Breakfast was perfectly cooked, and nicely presented too. It was an absolute pleasure to stay for 3 nights. Not a single complaint about our stay.

A delightful find for a stay in Stellenbosch. It's in a quiet, pretty part of the town, close enough to the centre, with a lovely garden and charming host & staff. We stayed in the top storey room: very spacious, great views. The only criticism is that the pillows were too form for one of us. Breakfast was superb: 5-star touches to the classics, perfectly cooked and great presentation.

Highly recommended. Just a lovely comfortable house in a great location. Everything you would need. Excellent breakfast. Staff are super and Fiona was wonderful . Will definitely stay again. Safe parking . Good coffee . Lovely touches. Altogether a pleasure to stay there

Perfect accommodation - beautiful rooms and gorgeous pool and gardens The owner Fiona was super welcoming and flexible we had a foul up with the online booking agent and our booking got cancelled the night before - but Fiona was happy to honour it and allowed us to not only check in early and use the pool but also to use the facilities after we had checked out which was really appreciated as we had an evening flight It’s a lovely spot a 20 min walk into town I would recommend making restaurant bookings well in advance and try the hop on hop off wine bus - it was great fun

Beautiful guest house in great location for visiting town of stellenbosch and vineyards . Lovely rooms and grounds with swimming pool and courtesy bicycles. The owner Fiona was very helpful and even sourced kefir for me for breakfast . Beautifully prepared breakfasts

We returned to Summerwood for a second time and we now want to book again, and again for future trips. Everything from the lovely rooms, the superb pool and luxuriant gardens with plenty of sun beds made for a wonderfully relaxing base from which to visit the local area. Fiona, the owner,and her small team work incredibly hard and she has a great eye for detail. The breakfasts are all made to order with loads of options. The lounge, next to the pool, has coffee and tea making facilities with a few sweet goodies each day. We will be back!!
