Mixed. Decent hotel but nothing exceptional. The Viking room was not used for dinner due to "not enough guests". Poor excuse when that is one of your selling points. Room : ok , nothing special Dinner : plain For people looking for a place to stay when hiking , ok. Have to add : weather was awfull

Wonderful stay. The couple who owns this place are lovely. The hotel is immaculate. Viking house dinner was all very good. Better accommodation than in Geiranger.

Fantastic experience! Nice large room with many amenities including communal jacuzzi and lounge. Highlight is the three course viking themed dinner every night (extra charge) with each delicious course accompanied by a story. Lovely relaxed vibe. Conveniently located between Geiranger, Andalsnes, the Sunmore Alps, and Alesund.

What a find. We spent one night there on our way to Geiranger and were extremely satisfied. The hotel is beautiful with nice scenery around. They have a set menu dinner every night (be sure to book it before arrival) which was served in a stunningly beautiful side building. Excellent food and wines to a very decent price. Breakfast was ecellent too. Highly recommended.

My friend Emily and I had the best time at this hotel. We were traveling from the states, and enjoyed every second. Heidi greeted us and took care of us our entire stay, she was so great! The beds are comfy, the views are breathtaking (esp from the hot tub), and the food was absolutely exceptional. The owner was also on the grounds and was so nice, and was able to provide us with recommendations to do in the area. 10/10 would recommend.

A wonderful boutique hotel. Nice rooms, nice people. Very helpful. The greatest evening and surprise for guests from the chef- A viking evening. The menu, wine arrangement and service were impeccable. Quite special. You really feel the viking 'vibe', surrounded by so many candles, long table with other guests. A viking welcome with a viking horn and each course again the horn to explain the food. An amazing experience in this wonderful hotel. A must do!
