Why Visit Tagaytay?

Tagaytay is a 2nd class city in the Philippines, just 37 miles away from the National Capital Region, Metropolitan Manila. It’s known for housing one of the Philippines’ most active volcanoes, Taal Volcano. Tagaytay receives many of Manila’s residents on a regular, as they try to escape from the capital’s hustle and bustle. The Best Time to Visit Tagaytay

Manila’s cooler neighbor experiences a comfortable year-round climate, with average temperatures of 21.5°C (70.7°F) annually. Tagaytay is coldest between December and February, is driest from November to April, and wet the rest of the year. High season occurs most weekends and during national holidays.

Getting Around Tagaytay

The closest airport to Tagaytay is Manila Nonoy Aquino International Airport (MNL), just 46.8km (29 miles) away. The best way to travel from Manila Airport (MNL) to Tagaytay is by Airport bus. Tickets cost between PHP190–PHP300 (US$3.90–US$6.19), and the bus journey takes around 2 hours 2 minutes.

The city of Tagaytay is not large and getting around isn’t complicated. Jeepneys, the city’s main mode of public transport, are mostly available at Olivarez Plaza. Be sure to check the destination signs on jeepneys before boarding.

Things to do in Tagaytay

Spend the day visiting Taal Volcano,
