Taichung Wuri District Hotels

Convenient for High-Speed Rail/trains to Taichung, with a McDonald's and 7-Eleven downstairs. Other than that, there's nothing particularly special. It's quite good value for money, costing only around 200 HKD. However, the location can be a bit inconvenient if you don't have a car.

The breakfast selection was extensive, though it required staggered meal times during peak occupancy, but it was really delicious. The room was spacious, with two sofa beds in addition to the main bed. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, plus a bathtub. There was also a desk and a small dining table. The TV had internet connectivity, so you could watch YouTube and Netflix. On the second floor, they offered: (free) nude hot springs, a mini-bar, and a ball pit for kids; you could also reserve (paid) KTV and a hot stone spa.

The hotel exterior is beautiful and atmospheric at night. The room is clean and spacious, and the bed is comfortable. The only drawbacks are that the room lighting is a bit dim, which is nice, but there's no extra lamp or mirror for makeup. You have to do your makeup in the bathroom, but the lighting is also a bit dim. I was woken up by the cleaning lady the next morning; the soundproofing isn't very good.

We had a great stay at Freshfields Hotel in Taichung. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, nicely maintained and very comfortable. While the location isn’t the most convenient, the hotel offers shuttle services that you can book in advance, which made getting around much easier. A heads-up for anyone planning to use the public baths: make sure to bring a swimming cap or shower cap, as well as a swimsuit. If you forget, you’ll need to purchase them at the hotel in order to use the facilities. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable experience!

The hotel is very easy to find on the main road, but the check-in is slower, the service staff is polite, takes the initiative to help the guests, the environment is spacious and comfortable, and the next day will remind the guests of the time half an hour early.

The room is small but nicely furnished. Everything is new and my room has a good view of the traffic rotary. It is conveniently located next to the main strain station. Finding the hotel building is a different story. The hotel name and the name on Google Maps don't match and the locals don't seem to know it. To walk to the hotel (3-5 minutes), I have to walk past scores of homeless elderly people sleeping around the station. I wish the city government to do more to help the poor. During my stay, I may have experienced an earthquake from the aftershocks of the April earthquake. I went back to sleep...

This hotel is directly across from Taichung TRA Station, making it super convenient to catch a train in just a few minutes. Miyahara Eye Hospital (famous for its ice cream and souvenirs) is also just a short walk away. You can easily catch a bus right outside to Rainbow Village. It's incredibly convenient. The hotel facilities are great too. The front desk service was reassuring, and they offer complimentary lemon juice and snacks in the lobby. The king-size bed in the room definitely felt wider than 1.5 meters, probably closer to 2 meters wide. Both the bathroom and toilet were clean. Breakfast is served on the second floor and it's absolutely fantastic!

Throughout my entire trip to Taiwan, Lude truly made my day! Upon check-in, I was immediately drawn to the clean, fresh, minimalist, and well-designed decor. Unlike other hostels with shared public bathrooms, Lude's single rooms are essentially a private room for one person, sharing a bathroom with just one other adjacent room. This significantly reduces the chance of multiple people disturbing each other, and I had an excellent night's sleep. The next day, after checking out, I lingered for a long time in the beautiful common area. The bright floor-to-ceiling windows, rich and charming cultural and creative products, high-quality and affordable homemade pour-over coffee, and warm black tea made me reluctant to leave. My biggest regret is not staying here for a few more days. On my next trip, in any city where Lude exists, I will definitely visit and experience different room types. Wishing them prosperous business! This is truly an amazing place to stay.

Chance Hotel in Taichung is exactly what you’d expect for the price of a 3-star hotel, and there’s nothing to complain about at this price range. The hotel is clean and provides all the necessary amenities. The most important highlight is the location—it’s right next to Taichung Train Station. There are also many restaurants and convenience stores nearby, which makes everything very convenient. Overall, a good value stay.

It is an older hotel. It is near the train station. It is convenient to take the MRT, but the surrounding environment is relatively... The parking lot is a bit far from the hotel. The bathroom has no dry and wet separation, only a cloth curtain. After taking a shower, the whole room will be wet. , the bathroom floor was slippery, the breakfast was mediocre, with few choices, the restaurant was small, and there were many mosquitoes flying around.
